This will always be the saddest scene EVER. I've seen it so many times and still cry everytime. They were a perfect team and the love they had for each other is so obvious it kills me.

That certainly wasn't just Olivia crying. I could tell that Mariska was probably crying too. Christopher Meloni's not coming back to SVU, but it would be a shock if he did, even as a guest star.

I hope by the end of the series we get a better explanation for his leaving. He wouldn't have just cut Liv off like this, they need to give them some closure.

It’s heart breaking to see Elliot gone, and to see Benson, No..... Mariska hurt knowing that Meloni won’t come back. But canonically can you blame him? He shot a girl and had no choice. Which makes it even harder for him. Thank you Mariska and Meloni for being the badass dynamic that held this show together for so long

Great job. I'm really upset that Elliot left. I'm a big believer that Elliot would never have done what NBC and the writers did. Elliot loved his job and almost lost his family because of it, he wouldn't have just given up and turned in his papers that easily, nor would he just left Oliva with out saying anything.

I think Eliot knew he really blew it this time and was probably at risk of getting fired, losing his pension and possible jail/prison time over the shooting incident and that having him put in his papers negated such events.(Although in reality, Christopher Meloni failed to negotiate a contract with Dick Wolf and left the show).

Beautiful video! They never gave these two the moment they deserved. Thanks for capturing the beauty that we still remember!

Nick was great, and his departure was also sad, but Elliot was one of the originals. I hope he makes an appearance oneday, even if it's the last scene of the series.

Very sad and emotional. When Elliot left the series, it reminded me of when I lost a friend who lost her life in child birth. She died during a c section giving birth to A healthy baby girl. Seeing Olivia crying like that made me think of when I went home afterwards and cried Because she was a Very sweet and wonderful woman. Her fiance and the baby Moved away a month after the funeral. I never saw them again and I hope they're doing okay. Her name was Kirstie and she was 31 Years old when she Lost her life. The last thing I said to her At her memorial was "You were my best friend, Kirstie. I will miss you so much and I will always remember you." 😢😢😭😭😭😭😭

Who else feels like it was just like yesterday his gone...

I agree to an extent. But when you still have other original characters there to carry on the show and develop, it can still be good. It may not ever be in its prime like it used to be with Stabler, but it’s still really good and relevant.

And they say that the show is close to how things really happen...it was sad for Olivia but she grew up more after her partner left. She was kidnapped and she adopted Noah. Both good things and bad things happened. She had to cope with other partners and face some creepy vilains.
