Just how many times was “touristy” said and repeated. Repeat yourself much? Ellijay is a charming little town. I have family that just moved to Ellijay a few months ago. They have deer that visit their yard every evening. It’s beautiful….mountains, lakes, the wildlife. The shops, the restaurants, apple orchards…. Did you even stop, get out and look around????? No.

Had some ancestors from that area that got the Andrew Jackson relocation package back in 1834. Home since then has been western Arkansas, which looks exactly like that part of Georgia.

I been to Ellijay twice. It's a cute and diverse town with a large European American and Latin American population. I went to the Coosawatee River Resort. The people there are friendly.

I grew up in Ellijay and if you go back 282 the drive will be better than going over Ft Mountain. Also that’s a river not a creek at the chicken plant. Looks like you are going in circles. There are a lot to do in Ellijay. There a lot of cabins but span out more than what you did. Do research before going to any towns. Blue Ridge and Blairsville both are very touristy towns. Good luck on your adventures

Hey I was watching your video and what makes Ellijay such a tourist area is mountain resorts. I used to go with my ex employers to one of them every year. They have cabins you can rent that are beautiful. You would have to look up Ellijay cabin rentals. They are very pricy and gated so you wouldn't be able to drive around unless you actually rented one. Just wanted to let you know why you were seeing the tourists there. They drive into town from the cabins/resorts.
