anything that gets released in the public mainstream is pop. That's why it's called popular culture music, aka pop. So Eminiem, Jay-z, Justin Beiber, Britney Spears, Ellie Goulding, Skrillex etc.. are all now classed under pop music. If a 'melodic dubstep' song got released into the mainstream it would be pop music as well. I'm pretty sure a similar 'melodic dubstep' track has been released into the mainstream. Therefore making it pop music. Your statement doesn't quite hold any real gravitas for me, but i do appreciate the point you are trying to put across.

no, pop is not a genre. It's short for popular culture. As i said before anything that gets released into the mainstream becomes popular culture music aka 'pop music' regardless of it's genre. Whether it's folk, country, electronic, rap or classical.

Katy Perry is a mix between disco and modern rock. Rihanna a mix of modern R'nB and rap. Shakira is a mix of latin, folk, disco and dance.

Xilent’s remix of Figure 8 is now 10 years old! This still gives me chills down my spine….god damn this is still good! This was also Xilent’s last Dubstep track from 2012! This era will forever be Xilent’s most memorable year!

wrong. there is no 'best part' in this song, coz the whole fucking song is; well you know... BEST. you see, in good music there is no such a thing as 'best part', the entire song is awesome. you dont listen to just a single part of the song, you listen to all of it, from the beginnig to the end and then you start it all over again because it's soo fucking good.

some of my favorite ellie goulding remixes (like this one) were in some of my favorite continuous mixes, but alas they were silenced by copyright BS. we need to change fair use for continuous mixes. most of the youtube ones don't get any ad revenue, so just stop it.
