If you don't own the land buying a mobile is not the smartest thing to do. Lot rent is low or this or that until a large Private equity firm buys the park and jacks everyone's costs up 1000% Everyone abandons their mobiles and the firm sell the land for a hefty profit. Happens all the time and is ongoing in many Florida locations. The mom and pop parks are almost extinct... If you do not own the land under the trailer...you don't own anything. Good luck moving it...

Thanks for the comment, welcome to the community! After selling over 500 units in Florida in over 100 parks we have seen one park sell. This park had 5 units in it and could house over 200 homes, it was a ghost town and was in terrible shape directly across the street from a grammar school. The five homes were month to month rentals. When the park was purchased it was redeveloped into a storage facility which created additional jobs in the community. We have never seen 100% lot rent increases.
Don't do it. Being in park is a bad idea.

Thanks for commenting, welcome to the community. Mobiles in parks on leased land really are the last beacon of affordable housing in the US when you look at it from a pure dollar to value sense. Why do you feel it is a bad idea?

I survived ok in my 3rd park in 40 years 55+ parks . All last parks I was in continuing to be full . Last park most units replaced by newer by tenants getting good prices for older units .
