I think that’s the hardest part about being in comedy. People forget that they are still a person,. That just bc they make jokes or people laugh for a living doesn’t mean that they themselves are a joke. I have so much respect for him and really anyone who own up to a mistake and change what they do or say. And I’d really like to give my two cents to whoever intentionally looked that far back and made this a thing again. And if any good could come out of this situation it’s seeing the wisdom and maturity in which Keven Hart is showing the world on how to address and overcome all the trolls and haters out there. And how Ellen shows shows us how to love and support someone going through all of this.

I would just like to give major props to Kevin Hart. He is doing something no one has ever done before. So many times people are crucified for the mistakes they make or mistakes they don’t even make but instead of standing up they just apologize to try to make it go away. This is another great example of the power of the media to take a story and run with it and people believed only the things the media showed us and were too eager to jump in attacking him. Props for Kevin Hart paving the way to make this more common.

Kevin Hart handled this well.

So we just no longer believe that people can change, grow, or genuinely apologize for something and admit they were wrong for something they said 10 years ago...? I Dont think this is just random trolls. I think it's something much bigger and that Kevin witnessed it. He gets haters everyday, I think he knows how to deal with that. This just seems different.

I'm a gay man and Thank You Ellen. We can't be seen as crucifying every person who ever made a bad comment that's not how we win and maintain our acceptance. Your a true leader in our community and were since the 90's so I have respect for you. A lot of people don't understand what you're saying in this callout hate filled culture. Like he said when you look deeper they try to literally destroy him not just "not have him host the Oscars". they wanted to seriously destroy him mentally physically spiritually and financially. Ellen is a true testiment of forgiveness! Her and Kevin have been friends for a very long time and because she knows Kevin and they had a conversation, and for that reason she is still friends with him and she stands by him. You can't discredit someone for something they said in 2008. It's simply a different time with different viewpoints and different social norms. And most of all he's a comedian, where his job is too push the boundaries and make people uncomfortable and then laugh about it. He apologized once, which should already be more than enough.
