A couple updates since making this guide: 1. For Bangboos, both Butler and Sharkboo are good. Penguinboo is good in the early game. 2. Everyone will get Soukaku for free, so ignore the part where I talk about if you don't have Soukaku. 3. For talent priority, after using her a lot more on launch, despite it sheeting low in an optimal rotation, in practice I recommend leveling her Dodge (dash/scissors) after her Basics and/or Chain. This is where practicality and calcs differ. 3. 🦈

What about Bangboo options? I can see you are using Sharkboo, but what about Butler - is it good if I have Rina, but not Lycon? What about A options?

@@vladys001 Butler can work in almost any team, but might not be the most optimal for Ellen anymore since they removed its Crit lol Sharkboo is BiS, but the A-tier Ice Penguinboo isn’t nearly as good. Not bad, but too niche to be worth heavily investing in for its power level. Paperboo is a great A-tier that fits in literally any team. It helps gather and control enemies, while the taunt itself is actually an indirect DPS gain because you just get to freely beat on enemies for 2-4 seconds every now and then.

I still don't see why team order matters. I can on controller R1 and L1 to pick who I switch too. Am I missing something?

@@Vengieo it does, because defensive assists & quick assist triggers (like Soukaku’s buff) always cycle to the right. If you don’t have any buffs or synergies you’d want on a particular unit, it’s fine (if slightly suboptimal) to put your agents in any order you like. As an example, though, if you want to buff Ellen with Soukaku’s quick assist trigger, you’d need to place Ellen after Soukaku. Doesn’t matter where, so you could even do Ellen | (anyone) | Soukaku!

I like wuwa but ill admit even wuwa had this problem, many players didnt make it past launch it the same for any game. I will be interested to see the July revenue charts maybe zzz will cook u could be right, im not hating its just not for me

That was exactly my thought process lol, I want her engine too since she doesn't currently have a strong F2P backup option. Plus I lost the 50/50 to Lycaon so the free pulls wouldn't have guaranteed her for me😅

​@@Yusei255 You're guaranteed to get a 5 star within 90 pulls, but ZZZ still uses the 50/50 system from Genshin and HSR. When you get a 5 star you have a 50% chance to get the featured character and a 50% chance to get one of the standard 5 star characters. If you "lose the 50/50" and get a standard character, your next 5 star character is guaranteed to be the featured character. Once you get a featured 5 star character it goes back to being a 50/50 again for your next 5 star.

I manage to pull her finally on my 80th attempt! Although I wasn't so lucky with her weapon sadly but I wont complain is a miracle that being totally f2p player manage to get her on her 50-50. Thanks for the guide!

Leveling Ellen’s Dodge also scales her charged attacks’ damage and daze application pretty significantly (which usually isn’t properly reflected on damage breakdowns) so I’d put it at a slightly higher priority than her Special Attack. While Sharknado hits as hard as her B3 in a shorter timeframe, it doesn’t actually scale off of anything else in her kit. It’s also not always available, nor is it optimal to always use it even if it were. The increased multipliers from leveling her Special Attack just don’t have the potential to impact the fight as often, as easily, nor as passively as the boost to her charged attacks. In my opinion, the most valuable thing about her E is the instant B3. It’s much more noticeable than the skill damage itself because it has allowed me to close out many fights earlier than I should have. I’d still level the skill eventually if I had materials to spare, though.

Game's animations are looks cool. I never tried the games other than open world RPGs and game like god of war, Tomb raider series but will try it after sometimes. And your videos are always clean and informative. Kudos to you. I am seeing so many hate comments and i can understand some of them but i feel like many of them never even tried the game but just spouting some nonsense with the videos they were watching and the informations they were heard from others. This game is targeted for different audiences. something you don't like it may loved by someone. What you guys making were not a constructive criticism but a plain hate.

So, I finally got Ellen's W-Engine today, but I am a bit confused on the text. Basic attacks give you a crit rate buff, and then dash attacks give you an ADDITIONAL crit rate buff, but then at the end it says each value is calculated separately. Does it matter what order I attack in to get the buffs? Do I HAVE to do a basic attack and then dash attack to activate the 20% total crit rate buff? Or, can I do the loop you're meant to do with Ellen and dash attack first, and then basic?

As long as Suk is before Ellen either by having Ellen first and Suk last or the way you want it, you always want Suk to chain into Ellen for the 1000 ap buff. preferably Ellen first so chains end on her.

I got Nekomata in my 50th standard pull and I only played for Lycaon. Then I pulled in the premium banner and got Ellen at 24 pity. As of now I still am targeting for Lycaon, so at least I have a perfect duo. I'll be sticking with Nekomata and Billy for her as I'll be playing casual anyways, no end game big boss battles for now when everyone is still at the step of learning the basics~

The game has been so nice to me.. they gave me lycaon as my first 5* then i got a 5* engine for him too.. then i got c6 soukaku then ellen came home 😅😅

That's actually good. He's a nice partner to her. If you use them correctly you can constantly do chain attacks which will melt enemies thx to her.

I'm using anby and the puppet maid puppet maid doesn't buff ellen at all outside of weapons and artifact sets but she does buff anby a lot and anby can deal respectable damage plus this way everyone is smiling I need lycaon tho

I got lycaon in 4 pulls, ellen in 20 and brimstone in 7. Not bad :P Also got lycaon's wengine at standard pity.

Penguin does ice and anomaly build up iirc, butler gives energy. So its up to your playstyle, do you use the skills a lot, go butler, do you just want extra dmg, penguin

She will always be meta as long as they release good supports, and she already have one, so she’s not on the same spot than venti or Klee, hoyoverse now includes personal supports for each dps so they will be always an spot for them in the meta.
