I played as Belle because I like Wise is guiding his little sister as a Proxy. Wise even slept way later than her just to fix up some stuff downstairs. But also worried about him because he has eyebags because of that. It looks like Wise prior to the story had used the HDD most of the time before his sister can officially use it. Maybe i'll play as Wise later in a reroll account to see the difference. Too bad I luckily got two copies of Ellen in my first account lol

I picked Wise cause I like playing the male characters, and I was genuinely so glad that Belle stayed around cause I really liked her design. I almost picked her, which I never do cause most of the time I like the male design better

The main difference makers for me in this game is Fairy. The A.I is a sarcastic little shit against Belle if you play as Wise. Like they sneak diss Belle every time they interact. And if you playing as Belle, Fairy is straight up hostile against Wise, like it is on sight every time they interact.

I don't mind Wise talking to my ear. His voice is really nice and chill. Win win whoever you choose it seems.

I choose Wise, and indeed it is the wise choice! Fairy and Belle arguing are the best experiences I had, its like I having two sisters fighting 😅. Wise and Belle are like NGNL Anime. Love both of em'.

You forgot the most important part, who you choose will change your room AND your pause screen character. Also even if you mention the voice in your ear, the one you pick actually talks A LOT (they say the lines you choose), differently from Genshin and HSR that the mc don't talk or rarely talk.

I prefer playing Belle. Seeing her on screen and some of her dialogue/interaction/reaction is an absolute joy because it tailored to the character personality. Also, I would definitely prefer the stoic, mature, and reliable Wise as the Navigator.

I picked Wise not knowing Belle was going to be navigator. Super glad I did, her kind of cheery attitude and spunk is what I love to hear while I’m balls deep in the hallows as Wise lololol

its also worth noting that certain dialogue options change (wise is more perceptive and points out when people are trying to trick him, while belle notices afterward; belle is also more open/friendly with many characters, while wise is cautious for a longer period), wise is taller so they gave the model longer legs making him run about 3% faster (which is negligable), and the bedroom changes too

I went with Wise, and I'm glad that I did, because he's the epitome of a "Cool, simple older brother" type. The dialogue options is also fun, since you're role playing as a tactician, and having him stumble on his words is hilarious af.

Belles Japanese VC is goated af. She has some cool moments in the cut scenes.

Why you should Chose Wise: 1. You can hear Belle more 2. Older brother privilege

I choose Wise since He is cool.And honestly When Belle become the voice in my ears,I have got a little nostalgic feeling since I have never have a sister before so I considered this new life with my sister Belle as Wise and it’s pretty much enjoyable

Yeahh sameeeeee dude, i got 2 brother and no sister so i create 2 acc. Wise and belle to see how they interact each other. I like playing as belle and walking around the city but in the end i pick wise so belle will call me brother (onii-chan in jp dub) a lot more when you go to hollow! The dude is sitting in the chair while his sister cheering him lol

@@LocalTiredArtist There’s an option in the “pause” menu to switch who you play as (I think it’s the top left) I haven’t tested to see if it changes who talks in game yet Edit: I have tested this and you can’t switch who you play as :p

Fun fact about myself (because yes), I choose Belle as my MC and she can give stupid answers that I literally thought weren't while Wise basically corrects me and uses intelligent remarks and now everytime I interact with him and he says something intelligent that I didn't even think of I say "And that's why you're called Wise." LMAO

Wise taking a back seat, being the calm person helping to direct just makes so much sense to me. Also, his interactions with Fairy are just great~ Though if Belle is like moral support and hype man for the calmer Wise, it would be cool-

Finally, a win for those of us that enjoy self-inserts.

Since i got 2 accounts that choose wise and belle, i choose wise as the main and belle will call me onii-chan (in jp dub) everytime i go to the hollow. I like wise voice but i want belle to support me and call me onii-chan everytime i talked to her lol

better question is which you prefer: wise and fairy banter or belle and fairy banter

The question really is “who do you want to *play* as” not who you want to see. If anything, you’ll hear more of the other sibling speak rather than the one you chose. I personally chose belle and i don’t regret it because she just gives off more of a protagonist vibe while wise gives off a mature guardian/partner vibe.

My head canon is because wise is cool and collected (not saying he’s never a goofball like belle) it makes more sense for him to be the person you talk to or that guides you and you play as the chaotic little sibling

I love it when Belle and Fairy just go at each other's throats sometimes lol, it's funny

Well, in my honest opinion, you wanna have the best experience? Just chose the one you like the most.

First game I ever chose the male MC and I'm honestly really glad I did. I feel like for story purposes the male MC makes a lot of sense in most of these games, considering that for marketing reasons the female characters have some pretty flirty dialogue and I like the dynamic the siblings have as you go through the story. Wise just feels right as the POV protagonist here. Unlike in wuthering waves for example where if you don't pick female rover you're missing out on one of the hottest playable waifu characters right away

Funny thing is, I'm using Belle just so I can see her when running around the city. I don't mind having Wise as voice in my ears anyway... TBH, the MC here feels like "captain" from HI3, except the figure is now showing, and there's 2 of them, so whoever you choose won't make impact on story, besides voice in your ear, your sibling's conversation in story (they're similiar, but not same, since they have age difference), and bedroom choice (Belle if you wanna see a messy bedroom, and I think Wise is more tidy)

Explain how that's a spoiler? If the main storyline of genshin established in the first 5 minutes is "find your sibling", and someone says "still haven't found sibling", what are they spoiling? Nothing really... At most they're just spoiling how bad hoyo is at writing an interesting story, spoiling that they're just going to continue stuffing the story with filler to delay finding the sibling. Because they don't want to do anything that might make players feel like they finally reached an end point in the game, they don't want players to feel anything resolve, so they can keep people playing and spending money.

I pick Belle because I relate to her personality more.

The game became incompatible with my phone when the game launched. I was able to launch the game. See 1 cut scene game crashes. Load again login crash, try to reinstall, can't😢. Well atleast I have a ps5.

Being the eldest quiet brother I chose Belle (She's too cute) lol but once I found out you interact with agents had to change to Wise more immersive interacting with female agents plus hearing Belle more being Wise is even better and you can have the menu as Belle even as Wise which I find cute having your little sis just chilling

While the one you don't pick becomes your voice in the hollow, the one you do pick gets to talk the most in trust events and cutscenes. so if you want to hear belle get caught up in ellen's hangout or hear wise translate anton's talk about his "bro", then yeah you'll end up hearing the mc you picked most in the overworld

When I played platinum games' astral chain, I came across this same problem. I picked the male character because I didn't really care, but on my second playthrough I discovered it was the correct option. Having a female twin sister was fine, but even though the personality didn't change, when the twin was male it was literally the most annoying thing thing ever.

Wait.... I want to see Belle everytime but i don't want to hear Wise....

in my opinion, it makes a lot more sense to have belle be the one talking and arguing with fairy lol she's also rather head strong and cheery, which is nice plus seeing wise be serious as eous kinda fits. seeing him be the protective older brother, it makes sense he'd rather be on the field but honestly, best part is the wild dialogue options you can make him say lol-

I love how ZZZ works this. Both are relevant. Not like Genshin where the one you didn't choose shows up once or twice a year to remind you WHY the Traveler even started trecking through Teyvat. Or HSR where the one you didn't choose remains in whatever Bag of Holding, Silver Wolf stashes the Receptacles into.

Picking male MC is the wisest decision (heh) gives more screentime to the female MC, Belle. You can still have both MCs in the menu screen too.

@@sidnairain The POV character gets to intervene in story dialogue quite often too + it's their voice in the comics that's more common, no? Fairy takes over for most of the comms talk during gameplay anyway. They're pretty even overall I think, especially since your character is on screen in the middle more often.

for all rpgs i played, i always go for male characters, but for some reason I impulsively chose Belle. I honestly really like that the player character options have differences. It reminds me of MegaMan ZX, where while the male and female MC goes through the main events and story the same way, they both have minor and major differences that makes them both unique. From the previous two titles, Genshine and Star Rail, I never really clicked with the MCs they weren't really memorable to me lol. But I love Wise and Belle, they act like siblings.

Difference between the choices. The one you choose is the one you get to see more overall. The other one butts in every once in a while, but it's not like they're constantly yammering into your ear.

There is also the differences between voicelines with characters, the bedroom and running speed. Wise is actually faster than Belle.

I picked wise because he's the calmer of the two. And that means he would makes better decisions in the field. Belles hyperactivity makes her a great assistant though since she can do so much at once

Wise has such big assistant energy that I picked Belle. It was the right choice.

Not sure why there's even a Pro and Con. Just pick whoever like how I simply picked Wise.
