    Can't believe GBR shot with on eye closed. I guess it works, but figured that was a huge No-No.

    You are right in many ways....however to have both eyes open is very important for hunters, because of the wider view of field.

    Closing one eye decreases how long one can hold on target due to eye strain but it does help the focus.
