Elka Shocks-Stage 3&4-Can Am Ryker Honest Opinion...🤔

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Elkas on the Can Am Ryker 900. Stage 3 upfront and Stage 4 in the back.
These are high performance shocks that make you feel like you're on rails. I ordered the sport touring tune and probably feel like I should've went with the comfort touring tune. Although I love the stability and handling I think I was looking for more of a luxury ride type feel.
Either way I'm happy and hope my experience helps you make a better informed decision when it comes to ordering these shocks.

Great video bro. The thing to remember here is that Elka suspension is high Performance suspension. They are not designed to be soft and squishy. They are designed to be tight and firm to give you better stability in the corners. If you were to compare the same bike side by side and only have changed out to Elka suspension the bike with the Elka suspension will outperform the other bike in the corners every single time. It'll take corners faster it'll be more accurate in the steering it'll have less body roll.. now as far as what is comfortable for each person that's going to all be based on personal opinion. What one person prefers and likes is much different than what the next person prefers and likes. Just know that if you're someone reading the comments and you're looking for high Performance suspension Elka is the best on the market you can't get anything better. If you want something softer and squishier you'll need to look elsewhere.

Thank you Bill. Yes stability is awesome, like riding on rails. Can handle any cornerwith ease. But feel like I got the same ride from a lesser shock in front with a sway bar added. Was hoping the adjustment would let me go from tight canyons to soft streets with a twist, and be able have the best of both worlds. Would love to get someone's opinion who got them tuned with the touring comfort in mind. Also just so many variations in stages it's hard to give a fair review without testing all the options.

Great input! .. Really got me thinking about my back shock upgrade. Your opinion on yours is the same reason I haven't chose a rear shock yet. It's a lot of money to not be exactly what you're looking for. My stage 3 fronts are great for me, but I've been on Kevin's rear stage 4 multiple times. ..And every time I ride it I hold back on getting one for mine, 😅.

Thanks brother. Well I'm sure you can tell the stage 4 is much better than stock. But if I had the chance to do again I'd opt for the comfort in the back. I've also been on Foxes and kind of feel like they had a little more plush. But my buddy who has Fox's said he likes the tightness of the Elka. Although neither of us want to deal with the install again so a trade is out! #mousenation

Good video...depends on How munch you cruise on the bike in terms of time...it's a lot of money for those shocks for just corner tightness.....I said same thing when I bought 600... No reason to spend extra money on 900...it's not a racing bike...

Thks for ur video bro! Will elka make potholes more comfortable? There are many pits and manhole covers in my city. The original shock absorbers are very bumpy, especially the two suspensions in front, which are very uncomfortable.

They will but my suggestion would be to order the comfort touring ones. I got the sport touring and although they are good I'd imagine the Comfort Touring would be better. Just FYI I tried the Fox shocks and they were pure butter over pot holes. They are a bit more expensive but really performed well.

A Spyder would be awesome for someone who wants to sit on top of the bike not in it. You still got a better price with the Ryker even with this upgrade.

@@kip1512 Rode my friends Spyder tonight. It's a way different experience. The shifting and handlebars are nuts. But lots of power. Don't think it's for me. Love the Go-Cart feeling of the Ryker.
