Beautiful lady inside and out. She was breathtakingly beautiful always, that face, those eyes. But she was even more beautiful inside as a person. She was extremely down to earth, she did so much charity work and her legacy continues to help people to this day. A true star in every way. We have nobody like this today. RIP beautiful lady.

I met her eldest son (who is one month older than I) Michael Jr.. I left a club around 3 in the morning and Michael was hitch-hiking at a bus stop. I was on my way to my apartment in Venice. I was leery! The top was down on my car and he "quietly" asked for a lift. He seemed "harmless" and the mist from the night was falling. I gave him a lift and we had a fantastic drive. Elizabeth Taylor reared at least one VERY REAL and kindly aware human being. We were both 23 years old.

I remembered the interviewer Phil Donahue had his own show, I believe when I was a child. Anyway, I can't believe how creepy his questions are to her, extremely sexist in my opinion. Elizabeth Taylor handles those gross questions with class and eloquence. She was a very beautiful and classy lady!

Definitely less offensive than Barbara Walters' questions. But for better or worse, they asked celebrities real and invasive and personal questions in the 1980s. It wasn't just puff pieces as vehicles to promote the current project.

Some of the questions simply wouldn't be asked these days and would be inappropriate like when he pointed out 'you were a virgin when you got married at 16' or commenting on her body. Having said that, I assume he got his information from her book which I assume she approved. Still very strange questions. Different times.

Look at the expression of her face when Donahue asks invasive questions. She has a look of contempt in her eyes toward Donahue. Even her vocal tones toward Donahue sound negative toward him, because of his arrogance.

She was so capable of expressing herself. I enjoy looking at her and most of all listening to her opinions and experiences in her life... I was hoping she would talk about her children, but Phil Donahue never asked about them. There is a lovely sincerity about her with elegance, calmness and understanding. My last comment is She's not at all self-centered.

Taylor gave us so many memorable performances in some great movies. But if anyone isn’t convinced of her supreme abilities as an actress, just watch Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. She could portray anger, sadness, desperation, poignancy, humor, and even love, especially when she rhapsodizes about her “son” (no spoilers, in case you haven’t seen it). Truly one of the great film performances of all time.

I love that she had a second act in her 50s. Not a lot of women get that chance. And certainly not looking like she does here. It gave her the chance to create her perfume line, which is one of the most successful in history. She was worth hundreds of millions of dollars at the time of her death due to this second act. Otherwise, she would've had a modest retirement by comparison.

This is beauty. The kind that comes from the inside out. The kind that requires no plastic surgery. You are born this say or you aren't. Most of her life was spent in front of a camera, she did it her way, cameras be d@mned. Gotta get her book and The Richard Burton Diaries. He had to compliment her or he'd pi$$ her off! She lived on her own terms. Led her life with her heart. And yes, she was a great beauty. National Treasure. She sure had to have a tough skin. She did good :) I hope I get to meet her someday when it's my turn.

Phil is for the ERA but harps on her weight? Interesting. Never saw a man asked what he had for breakfast except Richard Simmons. I get talking about it but he was an ass with the obsession of it. Misogynistic.

Phil did not do a good interview, he seemed to be obsessed with her weight, he should have talked about the work she had been doing for AIDS, etc. And for goodness' sake enough about John Warner and that farm.

I never could understand what the big deal about Phil Donahue was. I don't think he was a great interviewer or talk show host. He's no Oprah that's for sure.
