To be a cop in Mexico takes balls because the cartels aren't scared of the military itself and constantly shoot at them my respect to them

The cartels pay young men to join the police and once they have graduated they work for the cartels, whilst carrying out police duties. Then they get told to leave the police and they then, work for the cartels full time. This was one of the reasons the whole police force in Cuidad Juarez was sacked a few years ago. I take my hat off to the Mexican police officers who are clean and above board, who are trying to work and standing by their oath in the face of unbelievable danger and rampant corruption. From their C.O.’s down to who knows, maybe even their partner that they are working with that day.

There was at least one good outcome from the drug war. The Policia Federal have become one of the most highly trained, experienced, tactical, and brave police officers in Mexico and even better than some parts of the world. When the U.S goes to war, we improvise technology to bend the war in our favor. Mexico's federal police do the same thing. They study the cartel, learn about them, figure out who they are, what they do, how they operate, then they design the technology to counter it and fight it slowly evolving into a better more tactical force. In 2006 when the drug war began. There were more dead federal police in Mexico than there were arrested cartels. Originally there were only 1,000 cartels arrested out of the 200,000 cartel members. And at the time only 35,000 federal police with 2,000 police killed which was twice as many that were arrested. But the federal police turned it around. This year since 2006, sadly 4,000 police were killed; however around 12,000 cartels were confirmed killed, 121,000 detained awaiting trial, and 8,000 convicted to life in prison. All from just 35,000 federal police. The kills were mostly from the Military Police but a lot of them were federal police. That's not even mentioning the 200 million dollars worth of marijuana that get's burned repeatedly putting a dent in their operations.

Instead of beefing up the police the Mexican government should just end the drug war which creates all this violence. All beefing up the police does is show the government just wants more money to fight this stupid war. Also gun control makes is so Mexicans can only buy guns legally from one place: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nm1l0rmFqrPdqqw.html And that place has a horrible selection. So yeah just end the drug war.

Hey penis surfer, being from the u.k. Means interpretation precision, as in the adjectorial analogy of Latino America, where it factually includes non gringo nations and or predominance of Hispanics and both the racial and linguistically majority. As in Canada and the USA are not controlled or majority and of influenced Latino, it means Hispanic, Latino, this includes south of the USA where Mexico is part of the Hispanic icon of Latino nations, whereas Haiti, Jamaica are not, but Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico are. For yourself identifying as doctor, your criticism and comprehension equates to the rest of civilization accurately identifying you as nurse Tiffany, the cna trainee at Harvard medical,or far better, dr. Seuss.... quack, quack... bellend...

This vid is based on Mexican special police force training, not. Comparing it to other police forces. For example, keep scrolling down the comment section and you could see, US police forces train better or are more equipped, or Mexico is corrupt, of you haven't been to mexico, don't hate cuz you haven't seen it for yourself. These men and women risk their lives EVERYDAY more than the US military, yeah a lot of American troops die, but they die for an unreasonable war, the US fights for oil, not freedom

The cartels are so hard to stop because so many of their members are either ex-police or ex-military with ties to their former employment. Big busts happen when the right people don't get paid, or if a politician looks bad because of a major trafficker flaunting the law. Then, its more of a personal issue between the politician and the traffickers making him look bad.

If you enjoyed this video, watch the one on Brazil: "Elite World Cops - BOPE" (/watch?v=P5Y5flAuEFQ). Instead of the federal police, they visit a special ops battalion dedicated in combat against drug dealers. Amigos mexicanos: saludos desde Brasil!

I love my country I'm happy here. But your right about the Mexican government. They train on their own. After all Mexico has been fighting crime for almost 7 years. The SSP are by far the most well trained and experienced police force in Continental America. U.S. SWAT doesn't have as much experience in criminal combat. U.S. doesn't even get close to it. I have to say that we have the most experience military force though. Which I'm proud of. But yeah. They have got very experienced.

Mexico stopped Napolean Bonaparte's French Army from eventually invading The US. Mexico shut down its ports to Germany, and supported The US during WWII, providing raw materials to the US. At a conference in Rio de Janeiro of Latin American foreign ministers in Jan.1942, the Mexican delegation convinced many countries to follow suit and break ties with the Axis powers. 'El Escuadrón 201' was a Mexican fighter squadron that aided the Allied war effort during World War II-nicknamed The Aztec Eagles

Still, most citizens here in Mexico are tired of this situation, and there's lots of people doing their best in order to make this a better country. The overwhelming majority of the Mexian federal police are from Mexico City, and surrounding areas. The cartels eat these guys for breakfast. I say this because cartels hit squads are have paramilitary tactical training. The majority of federal police have no guerrilla tactical knowledge. They regularly are targets for the cartels in northern Mexico. The government sends them in droves, but only as a front and not really to combat the cartels chest to chest. The reason why the government does not provide military tactical training is because of the amount of corruption within the Policia Federal. When cartel members get killed its usually the special forces giving them their final breath of air.

The squadron was attached to the 58th Fighter Group of the United States Army Air Forces during the liberation of the main Philippine island of Luzon during WWII. The US & Mexico have close economic ties, and are each other's first and third largest trading partners. They are also closely connected, with over one million U.S. citizens living in Mexico and Mexico being the largest source of immigrants to the US(until 2012-Asians now outnumber Latino immigrants)

One big mistake from the Policia Federal (and several local and state police depts. all over Mexico) is the use of pick up trucks to transport the officers doing routine patrol duty or moving to the action because they are easy targets for snipers or for heavy-armed killers using armored and closed vehicles and several times the Federales were ambushed and killed and not always need to be that way: In Ciudad Juarez a pick up police car flip over while speeding and 3 officer lost their lives.
