@@luisemoralesfalcon4716 No! Both groups deserve anthology films. In addition to standard storntroopers, NULL arc troopers, stormcommandos, nova troopers, imperial shadow troopers, and a royal guard.

Sweet video man! I love that the stormtroopers are being more fleshed out now like the clones were, in the original trilogy they all felt like disposable soldiers instead of actual people and shared more in common with droids than clones. The new canon for the empire is so great because now we get a better look inside its ranks and see that not all members were truly evil. FInn is also an example of why this is so great it makes everything more grey and not just a story of these are the good guys and these are the bad guys but one with actual people that share different ideals and morals but are not necessarily evil. Again great job! I know I make star wars videos too but i'm actually a huge fan of you as well! Keep it up and thanks!

Thanks! The Star Wars KZreadrs out there are all awesome. They've all been wonderful to meet and talk to, including you of course. :) Totally agree about the Empire. Stories like Lost Stars and this comic actually present legitimate reasons for people to join the Empire rather than make it a faceless, evil organization.

ARC troopers are as their name implies are an elite reconnaissance force designed to locate weak points in the enemies lines then hit them hard. Whilst Storm Commandos are your more traditional spec ops soldiers whom you only call in when you need someone to go in to eliminate high value and heavily protected targets that would otherwise be untouchable militarily or politically.

Depends on the situation mostly, in a quick firefight, skirmish, or ambush ARC troopers would have a slight advantage due to being the more maneuverable of the two forces. Whilst Storm Commandos will carry the day in a prolonged or running battle due to being better trained and equipped to deal with an entrenched enemy force.

We all know stuff's gonna go down when a Stormtrooper has a lightsaber

I didn't read the comics but the fact that these troopers are badasses makes this awesome

I LOVED this issue. It gave me flashbacks to the good ol' Republic/Imperial Commando days. The latest issue of Darth Vader was pretty good too.

Great job Disney! Keep up the good work! You're finally making these characters act like the humans they are!

I can't wait to see more of scar squad.

Maybe we can get a republic commando spiritual sequel on these guys

Grakkus was a collector of Jedi artifacts. Kreel's undercover persona was a combat trainer for the fighting pits, and Grakkus gave him a lightsaber. I assume it's the same one.

These are the best guys scar squadron are AWESOME

I just got the comic and just learned about scar squadron and they look so cool

It's great to see that stormtroopers get into some serious action and kick ass. So far, they were portrayed as dummies who cannot hit anything, or do anything (with notable exceptions of the openings scenes of New Hope and TFA), which is not so great considering that they should be the force behind imperial supremacy. Especially Rebels series makes them totally dumb and useless. btw Not sure about the lightsaber though. I have no problem with non force sensitive poeple having one and handling one against other lightsaber given the circumstances,, but it's not a very good or efficient weapon for any other type of combat. (especially considering you can wield other melee weapons, less dangerous to use for a wielder)

Depend when Rebels is gonna stop, before or after the events of A New Hope ? Because Kreel wasn't even the leader of Task Force 99 yet after A New Hope.

I missed out on issues 21, 22, 23 but picked up 24 and 25 and I gotta say this squad is pretty cool.

I loved issue 21 and scar squad especially kreel once he took out his lightsaber it was SICK my jaw dropped when I saw it

I put this out there before, but I think they are the ancestors of the Knights of Ren. Each of their occupations are similar to the concept art for Episode VIII. Since the reported to Darth Vader and saw the Empire as their saviors, it stands as a good reason that would kill Jedi or anyone else for the First Order. The Empire, at least to them, "promoted" stability.

Nice! I'm really hoping for some custom action figures or special editions of these guys to come out. Or better yet, make Hero Masher troops custom!

I love that the Star Wars canon is continuing to branch out like this!

Scar Squad deserves a game to be made.

Sergeant Kreel is my favorite storm trooper of all time I have been collecting the series he’s in he’s awesome his first appearance is issue #10 and the first appearance of scar squadron is #21 his first cover appearance is #24

It sounds like the main Star Wars comic series is becoming an anthology series.

I had a theory for a while that the Death Troopers from Rogue One were possibly the remnants from the bad batch. I hadn't heard of this specific comic until now, and can't wait to check it out! As much as I like most of the new canon books/comics/shows, I am slightly concerned with the new canon of muddling the timelines and creating issues of why we haven't seen any of it in the OT.

Maybe it's just me, but for Kreel, I think a forearm-mounted blade like the ones on the agile Jedi-hunting clones (can't remember their name for the life of me) would fit him better.

Anybody else think once Clone wars got it’s final season and were able to make Clone force 99 these guys have been put aside and now are in a state of limbo where they aren’t dead but Lucas films has no plans on using them cause they’ve got the bad batch and Crosshair’s squad hunting them?

I rly need some help. I rly wanna buy this comic, but I’m rly confused atm. I couldn’t find any English version, but only German ones (which is not a problem for me as a German). Is it called „the last flight of the Harbringer“ (ger: der letzte Flug der Harbringer), and I obly found the comic with a cover that shows a X-Wing in front of a star destroyer. Is this this comic? I mean, on the Star Wars wiki they say that the cover looks quite different and shows stormtroopers....

Hey Star Wars explained, did you know that princess leia's cell number is actually finn's Stormtrooper number? Like so he can see this! How do I know this? Well, in the book a new hope: the princess, the scoundrel and the farm boy, it is revealed. I think it's a cool little nod to the force awakens, or the other way around.

I think there was a thing about Kreel besting Luke. idk if thats true or not, but if it is, then damn!

In the new canon, Kreel is an important character in Luke's life and development as a Jedi. He trains Luke to fight with a light saber for a short time. He beats him in training obviously. Then later when they meet again, Kreel beats him in hand to hand, until Luke uses the force to pin him with debris. I think in their third duel Luke takes him out.

Oh and he’s got a lightsaber how subtle

I hope to see a rematch between Kreel and Luke in a lightsaber battle at the end of this arc, just to see the evolution of Luke's fighting abilities
