The vulture is the most powerful of the small ships in Elite Dangerous, and was specifically designed to punch above its weight. It offers excellent maneuvering and speed characteristics, two size three hand points, and internals that allow for strong shields or thick armor, though not typically both, as this ship tends to suffer from power and distributor constraints that prevent running the highest draw weapons without sacrificing somewhere.
The Piss-ant leverages every commander's bread and butter, the pulse laser and multi-cannon. This one two punch combination is introduced in the games offline tutorials, and remains stunningly effective all these years later. This build is an excellent first engineering project for combat focused commanders, as it's easy to work around engineering requirements with alternative modules.
