My experience in multicrew is very limited, but once I joined and got put in the back seat because I was "stinky"

I enjoyed multi crewing when I was learning the game

Multi crew with 2 friends with some fighters n stuff is pretty fun. Makes you feel like a real fighting force whenever you go into a fight.

It helped me getting money when I started joining high level players and getting bounty’s worth millions is so helpful plus it’s just fun when you want some combat but don’t want to control a ship everywhere

If they would expand on multi crew, allow wings if you have multi crew then and only then would it be decent. But in it's current form is a PITA. Its way too limited in it's current form, you might as well just wing up and completely ignore multi crew until they improve it.

All they have to do is enable MC/Wings but keep the 4 CMDR limit. So you can have for example three ships, one of which has a player controlled fighter.

Our squadron has some procedures. We run a specific pre-flight checklist before hitting our FSD. As for expanding it, I would like an ability to assign crew roles as the captain. And more options when limiting your crew like giving them the ability to run the auto field matinance unit and repair modules. It is a viable option for exploring due to everyone being able to use the FSS.

Multi-Crew gameplay is extremely good for brand new players and people looking for quick action without needing their own fighter craft or worrying about insurance. NEW PLAYERS READ THIS: I used Bounty-Hunting to earn some quick cash to propel myself at lightspeed into the galaxy. In less than 17 hours, I have a Dolphin and am making well over half-a-mill per run in relatively secure core systems. Let me share with you my mistakes and wisdom I learned so you can do the same. Bounty-Hunting is far more simple than it appears, nowhere near as hard as you might be anticipating. Just learn how to launch a fighter (3, select a fighter, select launch), how to dock it (3, Select Helm, Select Request Dock, line up carefully) and how to shoot at things. If you watch a video that teaches you how, or end up with a commander willing to teach you, you're golden to start making money and helping your ally commander. Most Bounty Hunting vessels you'll end up on have at least one or two Fighter Hangar Bays with usually 8-16 Fighters stored inside. Try not to lose ships, as they do cost money and are finite within the ship. But if you lose a ship, don't beat yourself up over it - they cost like 10-15k to pilots to restock. It costs them more to bend down and pick up a hundred dollar bill than buy a new Fighter. What do they get in return? Fighters that can operate independent and deal considerable damage for their small size. They can chase down small, insignificant vehicles that would be a waste of time for the Carrier to attack, or help focus down a primary unit like a Capital. Beware, you won't last long in direct combat against one, so make sure to do Guerrilla skirmishes on them. Try not to get hit. Learn how to work your Power Triangle (Sys/Eng/Wep) and you'll become an even greater threat despite your laughable size POTENTIAL COMMANDERS READ THIS: Taking prospects onto your ship can provide far more than you might think. By hooking up with a Commander in Mutli-Crew Bounty-Hunting, I came to learn they had a Fleet Carrier that they needed emptied at all costs. So we met ingame, I used my little Hauler to move their Minerals until I could purchase a Dolphin I used to far more swiftly move the rest of their cargo as well as go fetch some for them. The profits I earned hyper-accelerated me into the game, and they cleared the crap out of their Carrier so they could get back to making money. This situation may not specifically apply to you, but use this example as a template to understand how Multi-Crew gameplay might help you, and please help teach new people instead of kicking them - they can be nurtured into powerful weapons or valuable assets.

You can share wing missions in a crew as well. Got a 10 million 81 kill pirate wing mission share with the crew and if you turn it in while they are in crew they get the completion and have the turn the same way by going to the mission giver.

If anyone is getting started in here, multicrew is an excellent way to go.

It sucks you can’t use the SRV when multicrewing (which I hope odyssey is fixing.) as its would make exploration less lonely.

'The humble Hauler' does not have a multicrew seat. That's the Adder you're thinking of. The thing that really bugs me is that you cant land your multicrew ship on a planet and each take out an SRV even when you have a bay with 2 of them.

Took my friend (new player thus no permit) to Sol so he could see home using multicrew. First time for me too as i had the permit but didnt go until then

i started out doing a multi crew too was years ago and the game has had changes since then too i recently got a HOTAS set up and gave elite another try and lord its amazing just wish the grind was a bit easier lol

For example, if you have a fighter hangar baythat has 2 fighters then that means that if you get in multicrew with two friends they can control the fighters? Or do I have to posses two fighter hangar bays in order to be able to do that?

Can you or anyone please describe to me how I can give or overtake the control auf weapons in multi crew mod. Or only pilots are allowed to control the weapons?

Hello, we tried to Mine with my friend, he used the Blaster while i handled the Seismic cannon thing. We sold all the Void Opal we managed to mine, got 54million, he got nothing in the end. Is he supposed to sell the stuff to get money? Or, can he even sell it himself?

Unfortunately in that instance he’s just a helper and gets no cut. You could drop some cargo for him to pick up in his own ship, but that’s about it :(

@@Captain_Archer yeah multi crew should be treated like the ai crewmates you can give the multi crew player say up to 15% like the AI crew

Every time I try to invite my mate it just says player is already in crew

This is probably the only video i found on multi crew. Reading the comments i see that mining together in a ship doesn't pay the other player but bounties and other missions do. I wish they would allow us to pay our teammates for mining with us. Kinda feels pointless for mining. Also what is a wing ? So far i can only invite my friend into a team ? Is it the same ? Is it because I made a squadron and invited him to it ? Its all very confusing. I

Hey there! Yeah it'd be great if they added more support for team play with mining and stuff. Wings were what teams were called before Odyssey. I guess they switched cause it was confusing 😄

Please, can anyone answer me: if I play on PS4 can I invite friend on PC in multicrew or to a wing? Actual on August 2020.

Why is multiplayer referred to do so weirdly... “last time I did multicrew.” I’m still unsure how ppl play together what what team play and organization we can put together. Does this game primarily support solo play, or can a group of 30 people do some stuff?

You can have a player organization with hundreds of people, but the game has trouble keeping more than a wings worth of people in the same instance/immediate area. Organizing events with more people can be done, but requires jumping through a few hoops like cycling people in and out of group, locking wake signatures etc. Hopefully things will get better for that in Odyssey.

Currently if you have a fighter bay or a weapon that’s on a turret, they can man those stations. After horizons they may be able to catch a ride to an outpost for a mission (not 100% on that though). Good luck!

@@CovertExpertiseArtiMarziali the Cobra is a great ship, but has limited options for multicrew. You’d probably be better off winging up in separate ships and working together. It can get a bit more fun when you can add a fighter bay with ships listed here elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/Fighter_Hangar

You should have the option if you're in Open play. You can invite specific people or open it to match maker

I still don't get it. Some weapons support multi crew. Does that mean, that if I hire a NPC crew member, he will control the weapon, get xp and yes get paid?

Unfortunately no, unless something has changed NPC crew will just fly ships/fighters. Multicrew is just other players

@@Captain_Archer You know. Come to think of it. The FDL, has room for crew members, but no room for a ship. I'll try and bring a cheap crew member with me, and see if he get any XP.

Dark Trooper Gaming did a little digging and this is what I found, “Bounty Hunting by itself, you both get equal share of the bounty. As for missions, make sure its a **wing** mission, YOU have to share it to your wingmates, and HE has to accept the share. You both have to still be in a wing when missions is done and turned in. Also, must be in the system source of the reward to collect. For commodity trading, as long as your in a wing, you both get "Trade dividends". Not much, but it's something. In multi-crew, the NOT hosting player gets a cut of the profits for bounty hunting, but no profits for missions.” From Reddit

Multicrew is a easy way to earn money for new people and just people who want to relax make a lot of money for helpings player xno hunt
