A strange way to discover this amazing artist, but I first heard her on an episode of "Resident Alien" (filmed in Canada) I'm watching Season 2 again, just before season 3 is released, here in Scotland, uk. I am just at the point where Harry meets a beautiful white sacred buffalo in the forest......it was one of the best scenes of the whole series! This song was playing, and I desperately tried to find out what it was the first time around, but couldn't! This time, I have found it! I don't understand the language, but it is such a powerful song, you don't need to understand what is being said, to understand the sentiment. I have subscribed, and I really look forward to hearing more from Elisapie 😊

A couple of years ago, I decided to switch off my Google Alexa-type feature, but I JUST tried tapping on the microphone, and it appears to be working.

Je ne sais pas comment exprimer tout ce que je ressent, en rapport avec cette chanson. C'est grâce à l'émission «Bonsoir Bonsoir» de Radio-Canada que j'ai fait ta connaissance accidentellement. Normalement, les tunes présentées dans ce programme ne sont pas terrible - ou pas vraiment bonne. Mais à la seconde ou tu as commencé à chanter, j'ai été captivé par le son de ta voix et toute la profondeur perçu de tes paroles. Ceci malgré que je n'en comprend pas un mot. Tu as quelque chose de magique, et je ne sais pas ce que c'est. Ce que je comprend de mon intérieur, cela est très bouleversant, riche mais triste, aussi profond et douloureux - mais aussi, remplie de richesse et de compréhension. Je ne sais pas si c'est la chanteuse, ou la chanson, mais tu peux être certaine que tu m'as vraiment bouleversé. Ceci est la plus belle chanson autochtone que j'ai entendu. Il est vraie que j'aime les autochtones depuis longtemps. C'est d'ailleurs le seul peuple au monde auquel je fait confiance à 100%. Je suis un retraité de Québec, et j'aimerais beaucoup te rencontré dans une petite marche ou devant un café. Tu es vraiment très intrigante et mystérieuse, et j'avoue que c'est une petite partie de ton charme. Ceci dit - j'ai fini de rêver en couleur. Mais je tiens à acheter ton album (Vinyle), et dit moi comment je peux me le procurer ici à Québec. Je trouve que tu as une voie fantastique, profonde et riche. Je pourrais en dire autant de tes yeux. J'avais été très ému de t'entendre à la TV, mais là, je viens d'écouter cette version de ton clip et j'ai pleuré tout le long sans savoir pourquoi. Qui es-tu vraiment? Oh crois moi, j'aurais bien d'autres questions pour toi. J'ai bien hâte de te parler car je sais que tu es très bonne en français. Enfin, tu es ma plus belle découverte jusqu'ici ❤️ 💖 🦋

We listened to your song yesterday in my Quebecois Literature class. We recently finished a book that takes place in Salluit. I am so glad to be taking this class because we’re mainly focusing on First Nation authors and poets of Quebec, and the authors' representation of the land and how it shapes their characters' identities.

Je ne sais pas comment exprimer tout ce que je ressent, en rapport avec cette chanson. C'est grâce à l'émission «Bonsoir Bonsoir» de Radio-Canada que j'ai fait ta connaissance accidentellement. Normalement, les tunes présentées dans ce programme ne sont pas terrible - ou pas vraiment bonne. Mais à la seconde ou tu as commencé à chanter, j'ai été captivé par le son de ta voix et toute la profondeur perçu de tes paroles. Ceci malgré que je n'en comprend pas un mot. Tu as quelque chose de magique, et je ne sais pas ce que c'est. Ce que je comprend de mon intérieur, cela est très bouleversant, riche mais triste, aussi profond et douloureux - mais aussi, remplie de richesse et de compréhension. Je ne sais pas si c'est la chanteuse, ou la chanson, mais tu peux être certaine que tu m'as vraiment bouleversé. Ceci est la plus belle chanson autochtone que j'ai entendu. Il est vraie que j'aime les autochtones depuis longtemps. C'est d'ailleurs le seul peuple au monde auquel je fait confiance à 100%. Je suis un retraité de Québec, et j'aimerais beaucoup te rencontré dans une petite marche ou devant un café. Tu es vraiment très intrigante et mystérieuse, et j'avoue que c'est une petite partie de ton charme. Ceci dit - j'ai fini de rêver en couleur. Mais je tiens à acheter ton album (Vinyle), et dit moi comment je peux me le procurer ici à Québec. Je trouve que tu as une voie fantastique, profonde et riche. Je pourrais en dire autant de tes yeux. J'avais été très ému de t'entendre à la TV, mais là, je viens d'écouter cette version de ton clip et j'ai pleuré tout le long sans savoir pourquoi. Qui es-tu vraiment? Oh crois moi, j'aurais bien d'autres questions pour toi. J'ai bien hâte de te parler car je sais que tu es très bonne en français. Enfin, tu es ma plus belle découverte jusqu'ici ❤️ 💖 🦋

Me too! I'm watching Season 2 again, just before season 3 is released, here in Scotland, uk. I am just at the point where Harry meets a beautiful white buffalo in the forest......it was one of the best scenes of the whole series! This song was playing, and I desperately tried to find out what it was the first time around, but couldn't! This time, I have found it! I don't understand the language, but it is such a powerful song, you don't need to understand what is being said, yo understand the sentiment. I have subscribed, and I really look forward to hearing more from Elisapie 😊
