It's liked but not a good idea to be Bethoven and mozart Juxtapose
Amazing and truly singular interpretation of this Sonata. It is extremely rhythmic, I would even use the term groovy, and so full of romanticism, but it doesn't feel saccharine or overdone. It touches somewhere, something deep in the heart. Bravissimo!

So many people choose the interpretation where the B to A notes that resolve the main motif (around 0:04) has the B as effectively a grace note. To me that destroys the rhythm of one of the most memorable melodies of all time. Elisabeth does not do this, she plays it the way I feel it was meant to be played. Outstanding performance. Thank you!

Sobriété, simplicité, justesse, profondeur, respect absolu de la partition. Une interprétation très "beethovénienne" de cette sonate, qui lui redonne son caractère émotionnel que trop d'interprétations maniérées dénaturent souvent. Madame Leonskaja est une immense pianiste que j'ai eu le bonheur de voir et d'entendre à "Piano à Lyon ".

well, video cut badly done: around 5:31 the sound is in a minor from the reprise but video shows only "similar" passages from exposition in c major. BOOOOO!
