Just picked one up yesterday. Nice concise and sweet review. I was waiting to hear if anyone tried it with the Blue Yeti but the person from the shop assured me that the weight would be fine.

If it can hold my SM7B, no reason it shouldn’t hold a Yeti!

I’ve had mine since January and this helped me figure out how to stop the arm from sliding down with my SM7B 😅

Does the mic affects when playing with keyboard or a control?

Changing from the Elgato Mic Arm to the LP version because i have a 2 monitor setup now and notice it gets in the way of the second display.

the joint that holds the mic broke in the middle on mine (basically plastic) holding an mv7......hope it lasts for you🤙

Buying one now, nice vid. Your setup's almost the same as mine and i was wondering if the high-rise arm would get in the way. Plus i cant clamp anything on the sides of ma table as its an Ikea MALM, only the back.

The magnetic covers come off whenever you adjust your cord. Just be aware of that. If that something that my bug you.

I have a support bar running along the bottom of my desk near the edge that's like a little bit less than 1 inch wide, do you think a mic arm would stay secure on the support bar?

Can you put the second arm segment directly into the desk clamp mount?

I’m just an upcoming streamer and i just got my dslr and lens now I’m going for the shure sm7b,goxlr,streamdeck and don’t know what mic arm to get

First off, that’s an awesome setup to start off with. You’ll be set from the start! I personally own the Blue Compass arm and the ElGato Wave Arm Low Profile. Either of those are great. ElGato makes a “regular” mic arm which is also great, but I like the low profile version.

because overkill is the spice of life. lol. No but seriously, I just wanted to upgrade from the Mini to the full and I used both for more audio inputs in my music streams. I don't use either of them anymore actually funny enough.

Yes as far as I can tell it only comes as a desk clamp mount. There isn’t any sort of “base” that would just sit anywhere.

What is holding your goxlr up right could use one of those.

I have a 3090 rtx with a 5950x and the new rog extreme viii.. I also bought a Samsung 980 1 tb for windows 10, internet, rgb lighting control programs and etc.. but me being a content creator and a live streamer, gamer and etc and maybe be a little video editing I was thing about upgrading to a firecuda 4 tb ssd for future proof and it really fast loading times and just for storage for creativity and content in the future. Also gaming and etc... what do you thing is it over kill or what??? I think it’s like $1000. For the firecuda 530 4tb?? Also do you think 2 tb is honestly enough to stream and game and editing and filming KZread videos?

I wish it was that simple. But the arm either blocked my view of a monitor or it was out of reach for the mic to be at a reasonable distance. Which is why the Low Profile arm is a great solution for me.
