I got this brush several weeks ago, and I LOVE it! It's defiantly my favorite foundation brush when I'm in a rush. (Every single day.) Everyone be warned though. It has thick consistency which means cleaning is a hassle. You have to be kind of forceful, and in my case the handle snapped out of place. I was able to snap it back, but just be careful. If it comes down to it you can always repurchase for only six dollars!

Emily, I have this brush. My favorite use for this brush is to blend powder blush. I dab it in the blush and then use circular motions to blend it. I love this brush for that.

Great video I ordered this brush when it first came out. I must say this is my holy grail brush when it comes to applying my foundation. You also have me eager to try that up and up brush though lol.

I got that Up & Up brush after I saw you talk about it and it's become my favorite foundation brush, taking the place of my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush (which I still love but...). Now I want more Up & Up brushes!

Thank you for this video! I recently bought this brush like a week ago hoping it would blend my foundation well. Personally, it picked up too much product and I just felt like my foundation looked cakey. I do go over it with a beauty blender to soften out the look. But I now will definitely try this brush out with cream products! I also noticed the hairs that stick out of the brush when I got it. And I did see some fall outs when I washed it. Funny though, my husband was the one who pointed it out. I didn't think it would be a problem though.

I bought the Up & Up brush on your recommendation and it has been my favorite ever since! I can't stop using it. When it was dirty, I switched to another brush, and hated the way the application looked. I think i'm going to have to pick up a back up of the Up & Up brush, so that I always have one ready, if one of them is dirty! ha-ha! Thanks for all of your great reviews. I've found some really great products because of them. :)

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! JUST GOT IT TODAY!

I have this brush and I love it SO much. I have this and the Real Techniques buffing brush, and I'd have to say I like this one better, especially for thicker more full coverage foundations. This brush is much more dense than the RT one, so when I apply my Tarte foundation it gives a flawless finish as opposed to my RT one that works better for lightweight foundations. For $6, I think it's very worth it.

Thank you for your honest opinion1 ill have to check out the Target up & up buffing brush.

You should totally try the Rite Aid brand brushes! They are the best!

I absolutely loved mine! My brush's bristles didn't raise and I realized the best way to use it is stamp it rather than use it as a buffing brush like the name suggests. For a foundation like the sephora airbrush foundation, the bristles don't eat up the foundation and give great coverage, again, when stippled. I definitely want to try the up and up complexion brush!

I bought this brush and I also do not LOVE it for foundation either! I actually use it for contouring! I use the edge to apply the contour powder to the hollows of my cheeks and then I use the top to buff and blend! Great minds think alike! :) Great review, Emily!

I have a "regular" e.l.f. powder brush, the bristles are brown, and it's really puffy, but it's SO scratchy, I can't even use it! Are the studio brushes better? (I use IT cosmetics brushes on my face now, as well as that amazing one from Tarte, and Morphe because the studio store is nearby and they aren't expensive. Soft, please!)

to me, that brush looks like a dupe for the urban decay optical blurring brush! :) i haven't tried either, but they look almost identical. but since this ELF brush is similar to the UD one, maybe it works best with liquidy foundations (this UD brush "goes with" the Naked Skin foundation, which is realllllly watery.)

Couldn’t you trim the hairs of the brush that stick out?

Jayy Valerio Was it like HUGE glitter or just very tiny micro glitter? The It Cosmetics luminious CC+ cream has some glitter in it, too, I mix it with a non luminous foundation so I don't glow like a disco ball while still getting the benefits of the CC+.

I was trying to find a place to message you about something non related. I've seen how much you love dupes and I was wondering if you had any insight into the "w7 lightly toasted, w7 in the nude, and w7 in the buff" palettes that are said to be $8 dupes for urban decays naked 1 2 & 3 pallets. I've seen the up and up brushes next to the nail clippers and tweezers next to the makeup area at my store. I've ordered many times from target.com and never had a problem- if you use your red card you get free shipping

I bought the target brand but I don't seem to love it that much. it's ok for me but not something I would reach more compared to my beauty blender. I find that since I got the BB I don't seem to like the results of a brush as far as the BB. the target brush to me is a little too stiff and streaky when applying liquid foundation. it kinda pulls and tugs your skin as you buff it in circular motion even when I tried to use it with the lightest strokes. I would still use it but not my favorite tool for liquid foundation. Beauty Blender is the ABSOLUTE best for liquid foundation and concealer.

I just ordered this brush today... Do you think it would be a good powder brush?

I would say that this brush may be better for powder foundation just because it is so dense it's going to give you more coverage, so I feel like if you were just going to set your makeup in with powder it may give you a bit of a cake face. Just my personal opinion though!

Kristi McGuff I have this brush and I only use it for powder. I dont have pigmentation issues or anything major on my face so I generally just use a bit of concealer and a powder foundation for day to day and I love this brush for that
