Monwana's watering hole is a calling card for so many animals in the Thornybush Nature Reserve, and on this afternoon, we got to see just that. Head Guide Almero radioed us to give us the update that a herd of elephants is drinking at the waterhole that is right in front of the lodge. As quickly as we could, we ran to get the cameras out, and managed to film, whilst out of breath! It was just as the first Monwana safari vehicle moved into the sighting.
What an experience this was for the guests! Mere minutes from the lodge, they got to see Africa's giants right in front of Monwana Game Lodge.
You cannot ask for a better safari experience than this!
