I see figures and other shapes in the falling foam, like a cat landing on its feet 02:44

During the initial stage of the eruption, starting at 1:53 and lasting until about 2:18, it looks as though the coloring added to the side of the beaker is reacting with the foam in some way. It looks like someone is undoing a zipper along the side of the bubble column. Could the coloring be breaking the surface tension of the soap, or is there something else causing this effect?
