Definitely starting to get the feeling that Neil's made lack of his voice being recorded a Thing. Can't say I blame him; we all have our Things. Though, it's interesting that there's such a sharp line on the paper note where the fuming nitric acid does and doesn't kill the ink.

Oh well looks like it is going to be another 10 years before they develope a Nuke Proof £5 Note. They are getting there though. That is one tough note, but there again what do you expect, its made in Britain :)

I reckon they've just muted the parts where Neil speaks. And he doesn't want his voice heard for whatever reason.

+1, I'd have loved to see that! Especially hot piranha, that chews through cellulose so fast, it's like dropping lithium film in water.

It's the fuming nitric acid that does it, it's so concentrated that it reacts with air quite vigorously. That's why the bottle has ice on it, it was stored cold to keep it from fuming and melting the plastic lid.

Neil does not have the ability to speak, clearly a problem with the audio recordings and surely not Brady editing out Neil's voice.

Ridiculous! You guys even cut out Neil's laugh. How disheartening. Why? We've heard him laugh before on Periodic Videos. Stop this sort of childish thing. I love this channel but not this sort of garbage. 🖓😞
