I have the exact same model Roper dryer that the other day just quit working. Watching this video I was able to diagnose the thermal fuse had blown. Five dollars and a few days later I switched everything out and the dryer is back working again! Thanks for your video!

I replaced all but the high temp thermostat and it still didn't work. I'm going to check the door switch when i get home tonight. I was afraid to check the plug but I'll do that too now that I've seen how to do it.

Daniel, my Dryer stopped working on Saturday. I found this video and diagnosed the problem was the Thermal Fuse. As someone else mentioned, ordered part for $5, and by Monday I was able to fix the Dryer. Thank you for making this video, it was a gift. God bless!

I'll be honest, I just bought both the thermal part and the door part. I didn't have a voltmeter, but from visual observation, my door part was definitely loose; so much so, I'm surprised the little black flap didn't just fall out via gravity! I got a good guess that the thermal part is probably good though, so I figured I will just store that for later just in case. Especially since both parts were roughly $10 bucks. Parts will get here in a few days. Wish me luck that they work! :D P.S. Your video was a freakin' godsend!! Thank you so much for making such a detailed and comprehensive breakdown on common issues and how to fix it!

Continuity... voice emphasis on the "u", bro. Also, my machine would not run. Since I noticed that the front switch lever felt like brocken, so I figured the best way to start was to replace the front switch, and this worked. Thanks amigo por su deseo de enseñar.

I always lick my fingertips and just grab the two hot leads to test the voltage without a multimeter. You learn real quick if it's on or not LMAO, JK good video brother I am troubleshooting a free roper dryer I got from a friend because my White Westinghouse dryer melted. My problem is, all the fuses and sensors are good and the timer is also working correctly but the motor isn't engaging when I push the button. Is there a fuse or switch inside the motor itself that I'm overlooking? If not than it's probably the motor or wires that have fried and luckily I have a spare motor for a roper dryer, I'm just watching to see if I'm missing a fuse on the motor or something because that's all I can think of at this pont
