Electric Reel Fishing | Bait and Jigs | Karratha Bag Out
In this video, Rohan and Eden head offshore to give their new electric fishing reel and rod combo its first proper run!
Limited by the depths and distances of our local waters, we drop jigs and bait down in about 45-60 metres of water to see what we can catch.
After toughing it out through the wind and chop, we come up with a good haul of fish for our efforts and put a red cherry on an enjoyable day.
The electric reel being used is a Daiwa Tanacom 1000 with a portable battery pack that attaches directly to the reel and made light work of fishing, lasting the entire day effortlessly!

Are recreational fishers allowed 3 hooks on a dropline?

From what I can find, the one bait/one lure rule brought in with the new change of rules only applies to fishing for fishing for demersal scalefish within the West Coast Bioregion. We're within the North Coast Bioregion, so I believe 3 hooks are still allowed. I've just had a thorough search across the web to make sure I'm giving you an honest answer and haven't found anything that states otherwise. If I can be corrected and shown anything that states otherwise, then by all means 👍🏼

Cheers mate! Absolutely still a Norwest blowy, and still an absolute pest 😂 I've released one before and it turned around at the transom and spent the next 5 minutes attacking my outboard leg 😂

@@BurrupAndAway HAHA thats funny, dad used to dong them on the head with a hammer leaning over the side of the boat when i was a kid, they were in plague proportions at monkey mia when i was a kid (40 yrs ago)

It's 100NM one way to the shelf in our waters. The electric gear would never see daylight if we only used it in 500m + 🤠
