Amazing Prototype . I would have put the motors and batteries right at the front of the Jetboat. and have a very long inexpensive shaft feeding rotation power to the jet which "has" to be at the back. This has the huge advantage that should a leak occur then the jet will flood but the expensive electric motor will be far away at the front and a few inches higher than the flooding water. It has a second advantage that the added weight at the front will help in getting the Jetboat onto the plane.

Make sure you watch them capacitors they like to split. They are very important they help deliver power to the speed controller.

DK, do you sell these? and if so can you make one that i can attach to a jon boat with a particular shaft size
@DktheWelder
Жыл бұрын
I sell the files for the 3d printing but not the jet unit, I think they would be too small for a Jon boat . There is a bigger one I made for a jet board that would be better the print files are free on my CG trader link in description but need a fair bit of power to run it . You are better off to use a JetSki motor and unit
If you don't mind me asking, what do you do for a living? just wonder what job lets me into a workshop like that.

How quick do you think it's going to be? The only thing I dislike about 3D printing is waiting. Someone needs to come up with a faster method of 3D printing

@@DktheWelder i hope so too. but i have serious doubts mate. you also only using 48 volts. to get 20kw out of those jets you need to reach 500 amps and that tiny 18650 pack with thin wires wont have that. you either burn the battery in very short time oooor you wont even get close to 10kw due to voltage sag which is more likely. i think you will get it to run for a while but only at low power. 20000mah lipo packs would be the way to go here because they can provide that insane amount of amps. maybe put the boat in the pool again. throw a clamping amp-meter on main plus and see how much amps you even get from that battery.

Warm is ok. Rough rule of thumb, The windings can run at 120c So the outside shouldn’t get past 80c ever, too hot to touch About 60c outside is good, touch for 3sec without burning fingers. 40c is not loaded enough. hold unlimited hot.
