Electric Fencing Fiasco: Man vs. Alpine Goats
I thought setting up an electric fence for my Alpine goats would be a breeze. Boy, was I wrong! Watch as my city-slicker roots get a serious reality check by these three crafty goats. I figured a few electric wire lines from the local farm supply store would do the trick. Hah! These goats had other plans.
Three failed attempts later, and I’m still determined. I refuse to be outsmarted by a bunch of goats. Witness my stubborn resolve as I battle under the scorching sun, learning the hard way about electric fences, the grounding effect of my sandals, and the relentless mocking from my goats.
This video has it all: laughter, frustration, and a testament to my fortitude. Will the goats outwit me, or will I conquer this challenge? Watch and find out. This city boy turned wannabe farmer in Nova Scotia isn't backing down. Enjoy the show and admire my tenacity!

Thanks for the laugh Aaron! Cheers
I have played with electric fences as will and also quickly found out what a huge difference shoes make! Lol
Oh yes job well done!
Goats! Awesome! This channel just popped into my feed. ( Still subbed from previously though). This is terrific dude! So much change! I really can appreciate the well being / health stations! Amazing new adventure! "BbbbbbbAAAARRRBBBB"
I had goats for 12 years and the only fence that would keep them in is 2”x4” welded wire fencing with solid electric wire at the top and bottom of fence, if a goat can get their head through a hole in the fence, they think they can get their body through also

We call that no climb around here in Texas. Good advice best thing we used ever.
I had added chicken fence to my electric fence. Then added an solar panel to my battery charger. Using an XS power battery. (What I had an extra one of. So used it. Works great.) Now, I can also put my chickens in it and they stay. My goats wasn't fazed my the shock. And at times, you heard them get shocked. But, added chicken fence to it. They haven't gotten out yet.
You need REAL T posts that drive down into the ground, That should hold the wire tighter, thus keeping them in better 🤘😎
Adding wire's reduces the output voltage . ( I think it's by half for each additional wire ) I have Nigerian Dwarfs and Pigmy's .. they don't care about fence either . doesn't phase them. !
Put your grounding rods deeper into the ground where only a few inches are sticking out.
BTW NO CLIMB fence panel is realy good for keep goats. Its also good for chickens.
Seems cruel but I put my goats nose to the electric fence and they quickly figured stay away. Now it can be off and they stay away from it.
don't let the grass touch the wire it can ground out through the grass or trees
I've been getting this notification like who the heck farms didn't realize it was medic hell yeah...... I'm wondering if their hooves insulate from grounding out

Hey
More Joules. Pee on the fence.
Good thing you don't have a male dog. He could accidentally piss on the lower wire. 😂
they cant see it / not trained to it, tie ribbon on every few feet
