@Thomas There is no world where i actually would believe, songs like pump it, hurrikan, tekkno train, spaceman, mindreader would be considered mainstream. They have 1 or 2 songs that MAYBE could be played on a radio station, but the rest is innovative, fun and just crazy. but i guess mainstream today is just not heavy metalcore stuff.

As someone leaving in Germany the joke about train arriving ahead of schedule made me cry

I usually listen to Metalcore for the riffs and the breakdowns, but this band makes me look forward to the choruses. Nico’s voice is so beautiful!!

I love that I can play their songs when chilling with my pophead friends and they'd absolutely jam along until the disGUUUUSTING starts and then it's my time to fuckin break my head banging it

Yeah, they were at slam dunk in the UK this year and were amazing, when they finished everyone was singing the do do do do bit from hypa, great time!

I just found out about Electric Callboy a few weeks ago. Already looking into going to one of their upcoming shows. Band is fucking sick!

I've heard the album twice at work andy coworkers were happy to see me headbanging and working faster as usual:D

Changing singers was propably the best move. The band now performs SO well with the setup, and the old singer can do what he wanted more, feels like a win-win. Somehow many songs since Hypa Hypa felt like they went into truth or dare, got a dare to combine music styles and just went with it. Because Hate/Love wasn't like most of the other stuff - it is a great song in my opinion, what then followed though? Fun, funny, great music. And that's all that is needed from music to be honest.

Tonight's livestream is going to be amazing. TDWP and Electric Callboy guests. The Color Decay is an amazing album.

1 of the best breakdowns and best lyrics on the album. I have, Shaky Shaky, sweaty sweaty You make my spaghetti ready Heat up the sauce, it's a dinner for 1 Just stuck in my head now. Whole album is great, just wish it was longer. Can't wait for November when they come to Cleveland.

"Parasite" reminds me of "Bury Me In Vegas" era...I think this album will be one of the top this year.I can't wait to revisit this album in a year from now & let that nostalgia hit! This is the best (Where I can play the entire thing) album since "Crystals".

Same. I expected every song to have the style of We Got The Moves or Spaceman but some songs sound kinda like old Eskimo Callboy. It's so cool that theres something for fans of every EC era on that album

@@DerKomischeTyp I felt the same...I'm glad the album is very diverse in the sound & doesn't all sound COMPLETELY THE SAME...This album really is a full-experience.This is what I think the guys have been trying to make for years but,the band kinda took a more serious direction around Crystals & never really went back to the goofy-silliness of the first couple of albums.😐 Even though I like some songs on those later albums I didn't connect with them as much as the first 2.(including the EP).

I agree. I listened to Rehab only once. Didn't really enjoy album as whole. The Scene was fine but mediocre. Like, way more radio friendly one which comes to musical direction. Crystals is very good in my opinion, probably better than We Are The Mess, which is good as well. Bury Me In Vegas is their best album, imo. Tekkno didn't top it, but Tekkno is definitely better than Rehab or The Scene.

I wish there was more choo choo chunks!😂 I hope live they just repeat this choo choo after the last chorus one to ten more times to destroy the whole place 😂

It needs a build up from insane slow to full choo-choo-choo and the outro should be a slow down from choo-choo-choo to CHOOOO! 💣

You know why I love this band? Because this has been the first time IN YEARS that I can turn on a metal band and be sure that most, if not all people in my friends group can get behind it. It's amazing. Hyped for next year, already bought tickets!

I am a simple man. I see Nik, I click like. Great song, too. As always from EC. The announcer is especially funny for Germans, as the trains here are famous for being late (around 25% of the long-distance trains are late at least 5 Minutes or more). Some announcers in the real world have a habit of making fun of themselves, so you might indeed find yourself on a train where the staff excuses for being early.

Album of the year me thinks. Catchy choruses. Stank face riffs. All the LMAOs. Check out Parasite next, my favourite for heaviness I think.

I wonder how much the 'choo choo' part was inspired by the train noise Nik made way back during the Pump It reaction which they watched and laughed at!

Tekkno Train is probably my favourite of the previously unheard songs on the record. It's silly, but it slaps

They definitely saved the best for last, because "Mindreader" and "Neon" are the best songs on the album, and that's a lot because most of the singles are so fucking good.

I always worry when bands have the bulk of their singles at the start of the album, because bands often do that when the quality dips as the album goes on. Thankfully, this entire album is great front to back. Tekkno Train is, atm, my favourite song on the album, followed closely by Mindreader and Hurrikan, which is insane because I replayed the shit out of Pump It and WGTM for months.

I wish the album was longer than 30 minutes though. It's a solid record, I'm not sure if it tops Crystals, We Are the Mess, or The Scene though.

This album is really good, and surprising given that its 2022 and synth/techno metalcore is still alive and kicking. Also if you can, please check out a band called Dreamwake. Their new album Virtual Reality is also electronic infused metalcore. Think Shrezzers/Novelists/early The Color Morale with synthwave and saxophone solos! Its a really good 80s vibe, and sick modern guitar work! Night RIder is an insane banger.

REALLY hope they do a video for this song.

I'm a huge sucker for bands like EC and Steel Panther who don't give a fuck and just have fun and make me laugh and smile, probably because metal and rock typically are dark and deeply emotional. It's a wonderful break to remind me to smile more and go enjoy the sun a bit. I love EC and so excited to see them in LA in October with Attack Attack, hope to see you there!
