Electric Blue Crayfish Aquarium CARE

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Aquarium Electric Blue Crayfish care starts with tank setup. Crayfish are only going to utilize the aquarium bottom where your gravel and Substrate are. This means that you will want a more shallow and longer aquarium with more crawlspace on the tank bottom. You will then want to have a lot of rock cover because Crayfish mainly like to hide during the day.

Most people buy crayfish for their aquarium to pay able to see them but a lot of times they prefer to hide which means you’re not going to see a lot of them. The rock cover enables them to hide in darkness and feel more confident. What are the main reasons they prefer to hide in darkness is because they are nocturnal.
They prefer to do most of their scavenging and roaming at night time when we are sleeping. This means that you will actually not see a lot of your electric blue crayfish in your aquarium. This is worth noting because you almost have to set up your fish tank in that manner if you plan to have crayfish as a pet in your fish tank.
The best food for your aquarium crayfish is going to be dead fish. In the wild crayfish mainly feed on the dead decaying carcasses of dead fish or inhabitants in the river. Chances are you don’t have dead fish to feed them but what you can do is go and buy some raw shrimp from your convenience store and make sure it sinks to the bottom and feed them that.
So now that you know the proper set up and Care necessities for pet Crayfish this may change your idea on only one. I will admit they are not as fun as one would think to own as a pet in your aquarium.

Thanks for this video bro ! My son just cut a crayfish and we only have reptiles and this info was great. I went and got a 5 gallon with plenty of surface area for just him, a nice hiding cave which he loves and some shrimp pellets. I'm going to move onto actual shrimp and fish though to feed him, I'm not a fan of the pellets. I'm going to look into live plants though, that is exciting. I have a ton of succulents and now this gives me an excuse to get water plants 🤣

I have goldfish in a narrow 55 that I will have to upgrade soon. When I do I want to reserved that tank for crayfish. I know they’ll eat fish that I put in, but I so want a mini ecosystem with some minnows or mollies.

I have a question!! I’ve had mine for about 10 months now… he’s not eating anymore and idk why. I’m use to him not eating when he’s about to shed so I wasn’t worried when I first noticed he wasn’t eating but it’s been about 2 going on 3 months now since he’s really eaten…. the water is fine and i have some plants and a snail in the tank with him incase he decides to eat something. he also has a big cave that he just always hides in. I’m not sure if he’s sick but he looks fine as always

I bought two crayfish one a fireball and the other blue and put them in a tank with my tetras. The water was about 80 degrees. Within like two hours they passed away. I bought another and put it in 75 degrees and he is doing well. Should I also put him in more shallow water?

If it's being advertised as a "blue lobster" but is in a freshwater aquarium, that's just a crayfish. If it's in a saltwater aquarium, keep it the same as any other lobster. "Leon the lobster" is a decent series on KZread about how to do that.

So I am Brand New to fish and fish tanks and I got a blue crawfish As a joke since my husband's from New Orleans. Well, I fell in love with Guido, we have had the crayfish for four months it has molted twice. But now it turns out, Guido is a female, and I discovered yesterday Hundreds of black eggs underneath her tail. I separated her from the other fish, I moved the other fish to a new tank. What do I do now?

When I'm awake my tank lights are on and my lobster comes out his many hidey holes and walks around like a boss I have a large rock a foot high am climbs to the top of it, I have a 60l orb tank and the ground is all volcanic rocks that most fish can move 3 Corey's digging around and move it, I have 6 black widows, 6 neon tetras 4 light reddish tetras, 6 gubbies 3 red 3 blue 3 panda Corey's A.pather crab A plec nearly a foot long its 3 years old and massive . I bought the rip off 150 dollars ornament kit but there is tons of plants like reef shells I think its pretty good, but it's only a week so see how things go, my main question I about food I got told pellets were bad for Corey's so they binned, I give 2 pinches of flakes a plec tablet and crab cuisine and shrimp pellets, so u think this is enough, or too much food ? 😊
