Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.
2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, 14 to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I join you here as I, too, was raised as an Arminian. Those who still oppose Reformed theology simply have not had their ears and hearts opened to receive the truth. Why some have their ears and hearts opened is totally dependant upon the actions and desires of God. Likewise, those who have not had their ears and hearts opened have not been chosen by God to have that experience. Because He is soverign, God acts upon those whom He has chosen. Of course, those not chosen refute the entire idea of God's having chosen others, but not them.

I only just came to the reality of the doctrine of election, and I’ve been a Christian 17 years (Armenian, charismatic, word of faith church -by His grace the Lord took me out)! This turns everything around, seeing God as who He really is : Sovereign. And it’s with this we can now fear God, have more reverence and understand Holiness. The modern types of preachings seems to no longer mention God’s sovereignty, diminishing His very nature and essence and therefore exalting ourselves. How did we come to this??? God have mercy

Charles Spurgeon was blessed with such a lucid mind and preached this vital doctrine of election with down to earth illustrations. What surprised me how long this problem has been plaguing us. Compare to so many modern preachers who are primarily catering to the men's needs and cultural pressure, he stood out like John the Baptist standing alone in the wilderness.

Indeed You are not yet for me when You oh Lord healed us instantly me, my children and my husband from the works of the envious and wicked woman through Your Precious Blood and indeed Your Precious Blood is one of the most powerful weapon that we can use against the works of the devil. It's been 3yrs already when You healed us instantly most especially my last born from untimely death but it seems so fresh to me on how You allowed me to see and witnessed the Greatest Fire 🔥 of the Holy Spirit, I don't deserved for Your Greatest Love 💕 for me because as human being I am not perfect oh Lord but You has chosen me to be perfect in. Your eyes , You chosen me to be the vessel of Your Spirit God ELOHIM for the Sake of Your Name and vindicated with more and now this indeed the greatest one, for me being with You In Your Paradise is indeed a greatest blessings for me but, with this Greatest Blessings oh Lord I am so humbled and BOW DOWN before Your Holiness my Lord and my God 😭🛡️🗝️⚔️🔥🌈💜. May it be done unto me according to Your Will In Jesus Christ Name 🔥.

TRULY, Mr. Spurgeon's messages are of Godly goodness, truth and power. However, right now, I would like to make a comment about the gentleman who reads his sermons. He is so good at what he does that I totally forget that he is reading the message, and have come to think of him as being Mr. Spurgeon, himself, which anyone with half a brain knows is impossible. He, himself, has a strong and wonderful ministry. - john

I believe in election by the foreknowledge of god, through sanctification of the Spirit unto obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. I also believe Christ is the savior of all men, especially them that believe, and that he commands all men, everywhere to repent. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Edit: also, I love Spurgeon, despite some slight differences.

Election is not predestination. Please do not confuse this doctrinal speaking. Please do not look at religion ...but look to your Bible....where he who predestined those whom God calls "elect". The election of grace....through salvation from our Lord Jesus Christ. It is biblical not calvanism, catholicism, baptist or protestant. It is the glory of salvation that "elects" through our heavenly father. If you love the Lord Jesus Christ you are "elect" and bound for glory through the Lord Jesus Christ.
