that's what happens when your trying to balance several pounds of disgusting slop people mistake for pizza. Must be the gallon of 'you best believe it's not butter' they put on the crust. Back around 2004 when i worked there most of the delivery drivers were seniors or on the cusp of becoming seniors. I asked one once if that was all he did and he said no, he's also a life insurance salesman but did'nt make enough doing that alone. Sad stuff, and the economy has only gotten worse.

When I see stories like these - it restores my faith is humanity just a bit. We need so much more of this. ❤🙌🏼🙏🏻

I absolutely love all parties involved here. *Both the customer/family & the elderly delivery lady* ---- The customer was more concerned about the delivery lady than the food --- the elderly lady is apologetic about dropping the food -- the man helps her up patiently and goes even further to raise over $200k for the lady!! This video REALLY warmed my heart and gives me hope for humanity.

She’s so sweet, bless her heart. Thank God she wasn't badly injured. Now, she can enjoy her grands, new grands, and great grands.🌹

I tried not to cry watching this. 72 years old and not enough money to retire. Major thanks to to these kind people for spreading the word and helping her get what she needed to hang up her hat.

Have you ever had to quit school at a young age and have no choices other than working in order to keep your family from being homeless due to a parent's illness/injury/death and couldn't advance because you didn't have a full education? When I saw the picture of their beautiful family the first thing I thought was if this woman is still working at 72 she can't have much in the way of friends and family and I'm guessing that they're adopting her into their lives probably meant almost as much as the money if not more.

It sucks that she fell, but she literally delivered that family a new adopted grandma to their doorstep. This was a blessing in disguise.

Wow! This couple is amazing! The world needs more people like them.♥️ My heart broke when grandma fell on the floor. I felt relieved when she said she'd retire now. 👍

My exact thoughts

I’m so happy she is now able to retire. It’s truly heart breaking to see someone of that age still hard at work and something like that happens to them. I’m glad she is able to retire with more money than she could ever spend. It makes me happy to see her finally be able to relax for the rest of her life. I work for a pharmacy and a woman in her late 70s or maybe early 80s was trying to get medication her insurance won’t automatically cover. She was telling me that yes she’s still working full time and needs the medication to function to be able to work, so she can continue to afford her medication and whatever else she needs. I was stunned. It makes me absolutely heartbroken to see the elderly have to work so hard to barely make end meets, IF they even make ends meet at all.

Yeah that’s no joke. I only got to spend time with my grandma for only 7 years, until she passed of cancer. Stay healthy and safe people!

If the government hadn't stolen so much money (2.9 trillion according to some estimates) from the Social Security trust fund retirees could live the rest of their lives without worry. Criminal politicians who steal from the elderly is the root of the issue.

@AlecGunter When she was young, well-paying jobs were plentiful and everything was a lot more affordable than it is now. She easily could've saved enough money for a comfortable retirement.

This is unreal. I will do everything in My power to make sure my mother doesn’t end up like this when she’s elderly.

I understand you. I’m also a Greatgrandma, age 68. I can’t make ends meet, either. I can’t work because I am homebound, mostly in bed. My Social Security is my only income. It’s been lasting me about two weeks out of every month. I am glad you didn’t injure yourself terribly. I haven’t been able to do steps for a long long time. Those were very kind people. I thank them, as well. That’s what the World needs. Love Each Other. ❤😊❤❤

My Roommate is also on SS. She gets almost 1200. You can't find a place for under a thousand plus they want you to make three times the rent. Luckily we have a friend who's a traveling nurse that allows us to stay at her house.

@Cal Anon not everyone gets a pension these days. She worked as a lunch lady. I'm pretty sure that there isn't much there when they need to retire. It's really sad. She probably had to work or she might not have been able to afford food or medication. It's that bad for MANY people.

Thank a man named "Chainsaw Al" for eradicating the idea of pensions in most places and starting the race to the bottom of how companies treat their workers like cogs in a machine rather than people. Also, in the UK - for those not familiar with the term - "Pensioner" can also mean an older person, not just someone collecting a pension. I used the term here more or less for brevity and impact.
