The ost of this boss fight is honestly so epic.

Crazy how if you change 1 or 2 things about a great boss, you can ruin it completely. The fact that this fuck can summon basilisks and covers the whole arena with death blight takes it from A-tier to Royal-Rat-Authority-tier

idk man, even Rat Authority is better than this. At least poison depletes you health. Deathblight just skips to the death screen. Also, these fking basilisks were designed to spray and get away since early Souls days, making it even more difficult to get a single hit. The only thing I got going for this boss fight is that the boss theme is good.

There is always a repeated but tougher version of the first boss on souls games. Asylum demon is literally 2 more times but with new attacks in dark souls 1, iudix gundir appears twice in dark souls 3, the cleric beast reapears in the dlc of bloodborne but with fire powers, and in dark souls 2 you can even count the last giant and the giant lord or king i don remember that name. Looks like elden ring is your first from soft game.

​​@@straycat2550bosses appear twice or more but usually same quality, however adding spawning basilisks and deathblight of all elements just makes it worse quality as it's very lazily making it harder. Would've been better if they didn't even change anything or added a fire element

@@straycat2550 Except that Divine Dancing Lion isn't the first boss of the game? Margit was the first game in the base game and he got repeated in Leyndell. But there has been no precedent of a major DLC boss being repeated in that SAME DLC in any other souls game. The best case you can argue for is perhaps Cleric Beast and Laurence (even though this was a base game-DLC reskin and not DLC-DLC), but those bosses are so different in their fighting styles and difficulty and pretty much everything aside from appearance that it would be disingenious to compare that to adding a bunch of basilisks. Looks like this was your first Fromsoft DLC.

there is an elevator at the bottom left part of this areas map. Use it to get up and then follow down the stairs.

This is getting out of hand, there's two of them now!

I spent a while trying to get to that place and it honestly took me by surprise when i encountered this guy! I was like oh get f***ed when i saw the basiliks. I actually found that if you ignore them and avoid the deathblight, the lion actually kills them all anyway. I got him first go but i had no idea there was a second lion!

On my third playthrough and seeing this for the first time . There is a second? To think I pass this place every time

Mh i see the area but cant find a way in. Tipps?

I was struggling with this but I found something that worked for me. I used the Depraved Perfumer Carmaan +9. Used pillars as much as I could and when the frogs come out, hop on the horse and try to take them out 1 by 1 and running away. I tried using as Black Knife Tiche but all I could get was about half way through the boss’ health. Hope that works for others

Posso estar errado, mas acho que na cultura budista o leão representa um símbolo que afasta mals espíritos, eles aparecem em duplas, um deles segura uma esfera que simboliza bens materiais e o outro um filhote que representa coisas espirituais, eu pensso que isso tem relação do porque ter dois chefes leões dançantes.

You actually can access that area very early in the game. No way out, just teleport.

I cheesed this guy from the platfom where the statue is. Great bow, took about 30 arrows. He runs up to the edge but can't make it up on the platform you're on. F' them stupid basilisks and death breath.

This is getting ridiculous, now there's two of them

I actually enjoyed fighting this boss, being able to jump on Torrent kinda alleviated the deathblight issue a bit. The only bad thing is the reward really, the spell looks cool but its ass sadly. 😅

They had... fire... fire was sitting right there... yes i know Messmer is the fire guy but come on the aesthetic clearly wants to go with different natural elements... and these fuckers gave it deathblight. And put some fucking lizards in there JUST to make sure the whole arena would be covered properly.
