A 40 minute video on elden ring builds, i guess Christmas came early! I plan on doing a run on my high level character swapping between the darkmoon greatsword and envoys longhorn with some cold sorceries. I figured you gotta have the frostbite and holy damage since it’s Christmas. Fashion also matters so im wearing the unaltered fire prelate top, antlers, and spellblade pants/gloves. I really need dlc baddd.

On a lot of weapons, yes. But for katanas keen has the best scaling (damage), add in bloodflame blade and you get solid bleed without the “blood” affinity damage reduction (reduces physical damage at the cost of more bleed). Occult is decent but keen and bloodflame blade is best. 🤘

just tried the spinning strikes blood grave scythes... i must say i was surprised. after some testing with a runebear, i think i prefer it over the wild strikes, which i love. anyway merry christmas buddy:)

I've really found that powerstancing is the goat of builds for me. Idk why but you just deal immense damage. Like noble slender swords with a golden vow weapon and the other having craigblade(raptor torso, winged, millicent, and bull goat talisman). Flask have consecutive attack tear and stamina regen tear. Kinda shreds pve and pvp. This build in general with several different weapons(even unique ones) can be opop at 138 or 150+. Pick your spots and punish those gank squads and breeze through pve

One of the OP builds I run for later NGs is with catch flame and pest threads. Radagon Icon and 40dex makes catch flame incredibly fast and spammable. Radagon goes down in no time. Pest threads will shred any boss that is larger than humanoid ones. Elden beast will die before it can trigger Elden stars.

Yeah I love Pest Threads, it's absolutely amazing vs. most bosses and also NPC invaders will dodge like stupid, but still get hit. Only boss I encountered where it really sucked against was Malenia where it did not much damage at all.

Merry X-Mas For me the 3 funnest builds I've done are 1. Guts Greatsword strength/faith build with flame art and lions claw. Just satisifying having the power to one shot enemies 2. Bandits curved swords dual weild with cold affinity and lions claw. Lion's Claw really helps vs enemies with shields that lighter weapons struggle with at times. 3. Dual twin blades with cold affinity and ice spear. Who doesn't love seeing an enemy freeze up as they fall to the ground.

@@drhater2318 - I did a faith / strength build with Lion's Claw using flame art affinity along with a few fire incantations. Talismans I use are the dragoncrest greatshield, fire scorpion charm, ritual sword , and shard of alexander. I use the fire tear and the one that breaks posture faster in my flask.

@@drhater2318 - The flame art affinity on a weapon scales mostly with Faith so that should be your main focus outside of vigor, etc. If you are struggling with the Elden Beast rebirth and pump up the faith. Pest threads will shread the Elden Beast if you need help with him. You can get it from Gowry if you did Malicent's Questline. Good luck!

Great builds, just a couple of questions; at 16:11 Nagakiba only needs 18 STR so why do you have 20? With 20 STR and 65 DEX your Keen Nagakiba +25 has an AR of 555 (558 if 2H) while at 18 STR and 65 DEX you will have 554 (557 if 2H), meaning you just wasted 2 points just for 1 extra AR where you could've used it on END. Also at 33:27 you have 15 DEX when Greatsword only needs 12, that 3 extra DEX is completely useless on the heavy affinity Greatsword where you could've spent it again on END or even Mind. Those are the only things I noticed so far since it's been a while since I last played ER and I'm about to start a new playthrough using either of those builds. Other than that, keep up the uploads!

Thanks! and I always do 15 Dex on strength builds, that way I can use almost all strength weapons (they range from 0-15 Dex for the most part). And the Nagakiba you can prob take 2 points out of, still need 18 to dual wield though/have that option. 🤘

@@TheKingofRedLightning That would explain the 15 DEX, thanks foe letting me know. Also, the Nagakiba needs a minimum of 18 STR and 22 DEX to wield it one handed. You can wield it two handed with only 12 STR.

try using cragblade on the gargoyle's blood twinblades and it will be much stronger, I also think that the Marais Executioner's Sword and the ADLS build deserves higher spot on the list

Marais is good for that. Blasphemous is great for co-op though. It can keep you healed. Night comet also shreds both those bosses. You’ve deff got some good options. 🤘

Merry Christmas! Spell version lasts longer and is 5% more defense and attack than the AoW. Only 15 faith btw, the faith tear can get you to 25. 🤘

Is there a scaling difference that I'm not aware of that would make bleed build repeating thrusts better than blood tax? I have used blood tax a few times but always ended up trying different builds so never really built it up that high. I can usually only get so far before my curiosity about different builds stops my progress. I have restarted this game more than 100 times but still haven't finished it. There are too many options. AND thank you by the way, for giving me more builds to try. I love your videos. No BS just fun and information.

Thanks! And no blood tax just does less damage. It heals you some but it’s a pretty mid ash of war for PvE.

The damage these put out is crazy... i was looking for an alternative to bleed but keeping the dual curved swords jump attacks and running attacks, i love them. thanks for the idea.

It's the ebst but i had some probpems with Astel and some dragon, aow doesn't hit in 80% of cases. Greatsword with lionclaw made it through for me. Kinda switchable with strength/faith build 😁

They’re good but closer to 200. At RL 125 & 150 (meta) I still prefer the scavengers on occult for 1 damage stat investment (arcane only). Gargoyles twinblades are great at 200 too as well as the Godskin Peelers.

Blasphemous is a cakewalk lol it’s easy mode. The ash heals you and does fire damage from a range. For spells if you’re running a fire build: catch flame, giants flame take thee & burn o flame. Buff with golden vow & flame grant me strength. 🤘

Can say for sure the double slash build is insane. Absolutely bullied Malenia with it

I think there’s 150 stats shown at the end of that one. 60 INT, 50 vigor, around 25 mind. If you want to do buffs 23 faith with the faith tear. Without buffs you can do 80 intelligence and golden vow ash of war. 🤘

Been away from the game for a long while came back trying to figure out how I left my character my stat spread is diffrent. Trying to figure out a good build for the expansion. 35 Vigor 30 Mind 35 Endurance 35 Strength 40 Dexterity 80 intelligence 80 Faith 80 Arcane Think I'm only on New Game +1 or 2 I honestly forget.

One I love to use is all the death magic. Its a hybrid strength build with faith/intelligence. You can use death rancor to get them spamming dodge and get them close to you, and do the death flame explosion spell, usually this makes them fall flat on their ass. If you haven't already activated helphens steeples ash, do so now, if you have, use the downed opportunity to charge and attack the moment they stand up. The build is great for controlling distance. You can force them to back away, or come closer to you if you know what you're doing. And use those moments as opportunities. Due to the fact death flame does frost damage, it's already insane. You're burning them and procking frost buildup, which in turn makes your weapon and it's ash do more damage. The armor I use is the nights calvary chest with the cape on, Malikeths gauntlets and legs, and sanguine noble hood. Creates a beautiful black and gold from the ashes kinda look, that just adds to the terror when they're fleeing from 40+ death rancors chasing after them. My favorite part is that IT IS combatable, you can counter it with good dodge timing. It forces the players who spam attacks to use the games other mechanics for once to save themselves, and if they do, they'll find plenty of opportunities to attack and get a killing combo. The build relies on maintaining the control over spacing both near and far. Far is closed off entirely, death rancors will chase you until I'm out of blue juice. Managing to take control of actual melee combat getting close enough before I can cast a death blow is the only way to end my reign. Which is fair. A lot more fair than someone running to the other corner to spam more spells. I only use spells to get them to back away, or control where they're moving to create opportunity. The key to my show is having that ability, taking away half of it is making an even playing field. Now that you're close, I have to stop using range, and I can't control your movements, forcing me to use my grave sword, Helphen. Good dodging will prevent you from being obliterated with frost. That's what it's like to face. Why not try it out?!

I'd actually recommend going for 50 VIG and putting 10 points into your main damage stat instead. Most of the time I die because I mess up and get absolutely shit on. 10 VIG more or less won't make much of a difference.. but maybe that's just me, who knows? :D

All seals/staves can be stacked. So if it’s 20%, it’s 40% with 2. 🤘

They’re both great, but I prefer the scavengers on occult so I don’t have to split stats (if you’re staying at meta levels).

@@apollo5299 you can split stats by then. So gargoyle twinblades & bandit curved swords are both great options at RL 200. Pretty even/close in damage.

It really just doesn't get any better than Blasphemous Blade. There are so many ways to efficiently boost the power of that AoW that it's not even really worth it to look at anything else if you're just looking for the best PvE build. For PvP though, well... who knows XD

Yep it’s easy mode. So is Night Comet though. For PvE those 2 make the game a cakewalk lol PvP I don’t do much these days. It’s totally different.

Can someone explain why he takes the Faith Tear in the greatsword/LC build? And why he takes howl of shabriri? Because it needs only 33 so why boost it further?

@@I_am_Uncut howl is 5% more damage unless you’re doing both fire and physical, then FGMS is better. Howl also lasts 10 seconds longer. You do take more damage when using howl of Shabriri though.

@@TheKingofRedLightning tried it right now. It works wonderfully in the 1st phase. She gets obliterated. But the 2nd phase is still problematic. She takes damage but somehow manages to go through flames and finish me. I need to work on it. 😄

@@jannik_miku_fan yep just takes some practice. You can also bait waterfowl early with throwing knives (away from her), then there’s less of a chance she’ll use it 2 times in a row. Not a guarantee but it helps 👍

@@TheKingofRedLightning Finally, got her with this build. 😄😎 The 2nd phase was hard because she went to the waterfowl dance straight after two flame hits, and I was stuck in my animation and didn't have time to go away. But last time she did another attack, and I was able to stun her near the wall. Two flame hits - and "your strength, extraordinary". 😄👍

Yes. I mean you won’t get bleed but you can posture break him with charged hits pretty easily.

it's pretty fucked up how strong strength arcane is and how many of the best builds it contains. you can have consecutive attack builds like morais and ghiza, big strength weapons like giant crusher and guts sword, strength curveswords or twinblades with bleed and mohg's great spear which is a category of it's own with bloodloss, fire damage and aoe plus it gives you a lot of invulnerability frames and mini stuns, so you can actually do the three pokes in the sky pretty easily most times. i guess blasphemous blade is just as good because of the heals but i think it does less damage and you have way less versatility. the night comet is awesome too but i don't like being so squishy, making a mistake and getting farted on into oblivion. i think from what i tested that having the lusat's staff plus one staff of loss does more damage than two staves of loss. not sure if that happens only if you reach around 80 int or how bigger the difference is in damage, especially considering the higher fp cost of lusat's

2 staves of loss beats out all other staves for night comet, even PoD’s staff (I’ve done the math/tested this many times). Strength/arcane is good for sure, but I wouldn’t say anything is as easy as the BB or night comet imo. Also faith has the most variety, with 3 damage types for incantations. And since BB’s ash is all faith, you can have a ton of variety running a mostly pure faith build. 🤘

@@TheKingofRedLightning have u tested this with maxed stats in game? cuz i tested in game with max int and the double staff of loss did less than lusat+loss so i assumed loss+pot will do even more since if u also got faith maxed pot does more than lusat. my theory is that the bonus doesn't translate to 60% as one would imagine with two staves of loss. even with 60% bonus the pot+loss showed to do more with my math at least, mind u i got that "2+2=4-1 that's 3 quick mafs" level of maths :D

@@metalface_villain it can depend on boss resistances a bit, as I ended up testing it on side bosses too. I think there was 1 they were tied (maybe the gargoyle), the rest was beat by 2-3% each time.

I usually do 2 daggers so you have the option to use L1/LB. But I mostly like blood blade. As for damage, twinblades & curved swords will beat daggers due to the damage in between procs.
