Why doesn't the Solano get much more attention in the US? Seems like excellent tech and specs, attractive refined design, and a competitive price point. Very good reviews in the EU but almost nothing from US folks. Seems odd.

This is pure german sound - an "as a matter of fact" sound, even more pragmatic than Kef's or Monitor Audio's house sound. All three houses have metallic drivers, all three use some kind of sandwich of metal and other materials on their higher products (paper for Elac and Kef, Nomex and fiber carbon for MA). All three brands promote no nonsense sound signature, supreme midrange clarity and deep bass. If you want micro details or subtle sound, look elsewhere - French brands or B&W or classic British brands (Spendor, ProAc etc)

The tweeter sounds like metallic..like class D sound signature. Its not sweet or organic. Thats what I m hearing from my headphone. But the bass is really good

I'm not sure if the microphone I'm using is on its way out , I listened to it and thought they sounded very flat nothing like they did when I recorded them . Time to get a new microphone 🎤

You can't take this video to form your opinion.... The chain of sound influencing components is just too long for it to have any absolute meaning: his room acoustics, his mircophone, youtube/ video compression, your headphones etc.... Better watch his review for a getting an opinion.
