I believe whenever there is a high pressure system created near Mascerene high, due to the effect of El Nino, this ought to bring bad monsoon season to India. This conditions reverses whever there is La Nina effect on the south eastern pacific ocean. Thanks!

Plz , correct your statement .During el nino near mascerene high low pressure is created which make your high pressure feeble , due to which el nino result in bad monsoon in india . And in la nina case high pressure intensifies over mascerene high .

No , they are not directly proportional . With increase in temperature number of air particles decreases ( result in decrease of pressure ) due to expansion of air .

I can understand why you are confused as i being a chemistry student during college days well aware of ideal gas equation and i also raised the same question .but ideal gas equation do not apply to all the situation it mostly applies to monoatomic gases. ( and case in different here in atmposphere ) . If you are still not satisfied , you can google why there is high pressure zone , with decrease in temperature and low pressure zone while increase in temperature . 😊

I think mam easy explanation of it would be based on system. Like in open system temperature is inversely proportional to pressure but in closed system temperature is directly proportional to pressure. A good example is pressure cooker. ​@@meMuskanSharma
