Many people said, they copied it from ATTRACTION, a hungarian group who also performed Shadow Play in Britain's Got Talent. First of all, El Gamma Penumbra auditioned in PILIPINAS GOT TALENT in the year 2011 while Attraction auditioned in Britain's Got Talent in the year 2013. They didn't copy anything from them. It is their talent. Why do people are judging them without knowing their history? They just auditioned here in Asia's Got Talent because they want other people to be inspired and show their talents. So please, stop that kind of thing.

Also, El Gamma Penumbra is not competing on "America's Got Talent: The Champions." The same with Silhouettes, an American shadow dance troupe. However, Attraction is competing.

Singing is a talent. Do people care who did it first? No. Dancing is a talent. Do people care who did it first? No. Shadow Play is a talent. Do people care who did it first? Apparently, yes. Some people make a big deal over this performance. It doesn't matter who did it first. What matters is El Gamma Penumbra did it well. They were awesome!

Adobo Synergy Actually this group has been doing it since '11, possibly before then. Attraction (a British version) came after this group. I don't know why people keep saying this group was copying Attraction? Lol.

Just like what Melanie has experienced, I got emotional at the end as well. Their performance shows how two people, who grew up together, has seen the world while literally holding each other's hand, then, as they got older, went back to where all it began. It just shows that, wherever you go, for as long as you hold on to that love, you'll go back where you really belong.. :') PS: What astounds me is that they can say THAT story just by shadow play.. Wow...

That was beautiful! And fun to identify which city is featured. XD Also for people saying they "copied" it from the group "Attraction", do realize that El Gamma Penumbra first performed their shadow act in the Philippine's version of GT (Pilipinas Got Talent) in 2011 (and have been performing on national Philippine TV long before that as well), while the Attraction group only gained international fame in 2012 (for Germany's GT) and in 2013 (for Britain's GT). Just because a white man did it, doesn't mean they're first. Remember that Wayang (shadow puppets and plays) is native to Southeast Asia.

who really cares about who's who, right? Did their message reach you in the end of their performance? shadow play is been here for many years, centuries.... we don't even know what date and who invented them since ancient people use them as a form of entertainment. When i was young when i hear shadow play the first thing that pops out of my mind is asia -thailand, india and china why? maybe cuz i saw some old films with those in them. Hungary and its neighbors are known for their crazy acrobats and talented performers reason why we don't really have to compare it's unfair to all. lets just enjoy their beautiful messages to the world. - respect and peace to everyone

No, they didn't win PGT. They auditioned for it and made it to the finals, though. But they didn't win. I know because all of the winners from PGT are singers...which really angers a lot of people, including me.

(Your sad attempt at a conversation, though, needs work) We're having a discussion regarding the qualifications of PGT judges as opposed to the lineup of judges of the other Got Talent franchise. (You, however, added nothing to the discussion and just added conjectures about myself.) Our local Got Talent judges are just there to boost ratings as they placed icons popular to the masses. The Judges in AGT, BGT and the others? They're not only popular, but they actually honed their careers at their particular piece of the industry. Their thoughts on each performance they judge matter because they themselves are not only familiar with the craft... They are on top of it, if not near the top. So, I suggest you sit back and stay quiet, or come back when you have something valuable to add.

You9 got a point there. Im not good at this. But lets just make it simple. Shadow play is like a broad name mean in general. So it only matters what story what concept and how you portray it. So unless they dont have the same with those then it cant be called copied. Cause if people think philippines copied it from Britain then maybe shadow play must not be in owr art books and never be taught in our school and never be played in our school theaters.

Itzofficiallybri First of the one who performed shadow play in Britains got talent is HUNGARIAN not british..... tsk tsk. so technically they are wrong if they say that they copied it from a british group. hehehe. Besides, both groups are amazing and unique in their own way. I love how Attraction (the Hungarian shadow play group) do acts that involve the love of a mother and her child in BGT while El Gamma Penumbra's best performance is for the tourism of the country (Choose Philippines ad campaign). So please, stop comparing 2 groups that are more or less different from each other despite the similar medium they used for the Got Talent Series. PS +kyle james mosot Attraction started in October 2004 while El Gamma Penumbra started in 2008 so yeah...... Attraction is the first well known shadow play group in the Got Talent series but El gamma entered the GT competition first than Attraction. They are even now hahahaha ;)

Itzofficiallybri True! How are they saying that they copied them? Yeah both did a shadow play, but they presented a different plot. This dumb asses just cant accept that they got golden buzzer and cant appreciate a good show. *Sigh*

Why is it that when someone or a group of people are applauded and rewarded by a "gold buzzer" for instance, there are people who find ways to criticize? to find wrong about the performance, to search on KZread for a much better acts than what they've seen, or just simply trying to deny the fact that they are awesome for a simple reason that they performed and showed the world their talents. In our country we call this people PALAKA and ALIMANGO. A Frog and a Crab. This kind of people are full of jealousy in their system. It's not the mistake or not being perfect matters most, it's the guts to present yourself to the world and show what you have got. That for me is enough to be applauded.

I've just watched their performance for the AGT semifinals and I was deeply moved!!! The greatest news is that the judges pressed the GOLDEN BUZZER which means that the group will go straight through to the grand finals. Thank you Anggun for continuously supporting the group. This means that Philippines has 4 representatives for the finale next week: 1) EL GAMA PENUMBRA; 2) GERPHIL FLORES; 3) JUNIOR NEW SYSTEM; and 4) GWYNETH DORADO. We may not be from the richest country in the world, but surely, we are blessed with diverse talents which have raised many Filipinos to stardom worldwide. PHILIPPINES, YOU ROCK!!! I hope that one of these performers will grab the title. But before that, let's also hope for the best for Pacquiao this coming May 3. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! Mabuhay ang talentong Pilipino!
