The cuts are a bit obnoxious 😂 I was ready to say people in the comments were overreacting, but yeah, it’s a bit much. Cutting unnecessary sections and just letting the footage play out or speeding up playback are a better option. Definitely potential here, I’ll sub, I’ve been water cooling for 15 years so I’m definitely interested in the topic. I was already subbed 😂

Thanks for your comment 🙏 It took me a while, but I have heard the feedback and have made significant efforts to slow everything down and let it all breath. I hope you get a chance to look at some of the more recent 4-5 videos to see if the slowed down cuts are more to your liking. I will do my best to continue to listen to feedback and improve with each new video. I have several videos planned and the next one will be a price-to-performance watercooling build. It will give me the chance to showcase no-frills parts that will likely end up performing quite well and let me give some more commentary on things like fittings/pumps/tube runs, etc. After that, once Optimus decides to release their 4090 Founders Edition block, I will do a video on that, then put that in a new build with likely a Mora-Noctua-420. I appreciate the feedback and I hope you stay tuned.

@@vectornetwork Optimus still doesn’t have a block for the 4090 FE? 🤦‍♂️ I tried to order from them a few times and every time I’m on back order for months, and I give up and get an EK.

I have been watching all you reviews and I purchased the ASUS RTX 4080 ROG TUF SUPER I didn’t want to fork out $302.00 for the EK water block and I have been one of their devoted customers since 2006 but they really love themselves lately so I watched your review on Bitspower and I really wanted that but couldn’t find it anywhere than I found this one Barrow GPU Water Block for ASUS GeForce RTX 4080 ROG TUF / STRIX GAMING O16G BS-AST4080-PA. What would it take for you to review this water block? I really like your work. Joe

Thank you for your comment 🙏I noticed the scratch almost immediately when I looked at the back plate. I actually think this block was a return of some sort. In any case, it worked well enough.

Is there any chance I could get some measurements of this with the 4080 PCB installed? I know this waterblock is 153mm wide, but that’s not including the PCIe connector sticking out is it? I’ve been browsing Reddit and all the KZread comments/videos I can. Any help would be appreciated. I just want to know if this is going to hit my front glass in the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo. I know the TUF card can barely fit in the case as standard, and the card is 150mm wide. But it’s so hard to find dimensions with the full water block installed. Any help is much appreciated

Thanks for your comment 🙏Correct, the 150mm wide does not include any power cable sticking out. I'm looking at it now, and the end of the black wrapped part of the cable connector almost lines up exactly with the end of terminal block, which is the widest point on the block, which I am assuming is that 150mm measurement. If the case has room for the 150mm width, then you can likely bend the connector downwards and toward the back of your PC and it wouldn't hit the glass. Keep in mind that, as long as you fully plug the connector in, it should be fine if you bend it in that manner. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your comment 🙏 I do think there is room for improvement on both parts, narration and editing. For narration, it certainly is easier for me to not do the audio. Although I have improved, script writing and speaking doesn't appear to be my strong-suit and it comes after already a lot of work put into the footage and editing. As for that part, all that editing requires a lot of effort and so it would be easier to do longer-form cuts. The reason why its like that is because my earlier videos really didn't really any views at all. It wasn't until I really tried to cram in as much content as possible and made the videos shorter did get some viewership and engagement. However, now with some traction, I think it is time to a bigger change and/or improvement than merely adding a few more frames here and there. Thank you for the feedback and I hope to continue to improve the videos.

Hey have you noticed any rare behaviour? I have the same card and block and my temps are way higher compared to my previous 3080ti ftw3 WB. On that one I got like 52C at 430W and with the 4080 i’m at 57C at 345W. I’m running heavy OC +180 on gpu and +600 on memory.

3080ti uses a GA102 die which is much larger than the 4080s AD103, smaller die means worse heat transfer. The 4080 die is smaller than the 3070's die. I also have similar temps, 63 with 26c ambient at 350ish watt

I would look into your pad/paste application. Your WB Temps are similar to what I saw on the stock cooler (maybe 5-6° cooler) I have this block on a TUF OC 4080. Used Kryonaut Extreme on the GPU, and k5 Pro on everything else. Running 110% PL @ locked 100%V, +150 on core and +800 mem. Temps rarely go over 50°.

Good lord, man...the amount of air in that loop. You were trying to benchmark running that much air in the system?? Yeah, it looks cool...and works hot. Purge the system!!! Cavitation doesn't explain that, at all.

Thank you for your comment 🙏I really wanted to get some good footage of the water just blasting through the block. Part of it was because there are times where the camera isn't setup quite right and/or things are just a bit too wobbly or out of focus and its really hard to redo and the first fill can only be done once. The other part is I really think it looks cool, seeing the water flow through the water block and fins. So, I've always tried to capture that and I will thrive to do better and use better techniques every chance I get, as I make these videos. There are other shots towards the end (if I recall correctly) where the bubbles had been bled out and the coolant doesn't even look like its moving. It also looks nice like that but I also think that movement is what really catches the eye. In any case, I record all the data for the charts and the temps and everything seemed to really perform as expected in relation to each other as I went through the bevy of tests. I appreciate the feedback and encourage you to provide more if you decide to watch any more episodes. Thank you again and thank you for taking a chance to watch.

@@MrAcuta73 Thank you for your comment 🙏 and yes, I hadn't considered that the bubbles would give off the wrong idea. I may consider that more as I am working on the footage and/or editing the shots. It may be good to have 2 clips back-to-back. One showing the bubbles and the other showing it after all the bubbles have been bled out and the reservoir completely topped off. Much to consider and thank you for watching and providing feedback!

Late reply but definitely not your gpu is atleast 25% less fast than the 4080 you probrally wont get a extra 25% preformance after waterblocking it maybe 10% or so maybe 12-14% if you got a golden sample.
