The main issue I have with this channel is that quite often they only review the PC version then never go back to compare it console release.

I agree and, no offense, but that's a weird statement coming from someone who's subscribed to Xvault Gaming, Griffin Gaming, and MBG, all channels that revel in toxicity and trash talking. Especially Xvault Gaming, the game who can't stop making hate videos on Xbox and trashing talking "Xbox fanboys."

@@jimmythegamer2231 Griffin gaming bashes both consoles. MBG is respectful to other platforms he doesn't trash talk. He's just a Playstation fanboy. Many of the Playstation channels actually report the news even the negatives of Playstation. Most of them aren't bashing the competition or praising every game.

Loved the suikoden series cant wait to get this game

This game is a solid 9/10. Just make sure you don't quick resume this game on Xbox, other than that this version is free of issues.

@@Keyblademster oh haha yep I watched further and saw that. Forgot I commented. I was also wondering if there’s any other issues like achievements unlocking. But no sound when I boot the game back up has just caused me to quit out at the end of every session so it doesn’t matter much. Even after that first patch after launch

well, to be fair, that $130 is for the Ultimate Edition specifically, that comes with the Season Pass, some exclusive skins and a digital artbook. The base game is $70. The $50 here is for the base game, but there is a Deluxe Edition that comes with the Season Pass, a bundle of items and a digital artbook, that goes for $80. It’s still a lot cheaper than the Star Wars Outlaw Ultimate Edition, even cheaper than the $110 Gold Edition that loses the skins, but if you’re going to compare to games, at least compare the appropriate versions. $50 vs $70, or $80 vs $110/130.

Is it true this game is causing Xbox's to overheat? I wanted to buy it but I keep seeing comments that it's something which still hasn't been fixed.

Are there permadeaths in the game? By permadeaths, I don't mean deaths that are part of the story, but having a characters dying in battle that you can no longer use.

No permadeath on characters who fell in a battle, they will just stay at 1 hp after the battle if you fail to resurrect them, also all 108 or 120 heroes aren't just solely for battle they are part of the castle you're re-building some of em are handling shops.

I love how old school it is. I don’t want any of those QoL things people talk about. I miss this version of rpgs.

Well the game is exactly like old school RPG. This is a good thing in a way but it's also a bit of a drag. Lots of characters and tons of filler battles one after another check. Honestly what the game needs is a cinematic opening like the original FF7 for the ps1. Or copy the Tales of series and introduce characters that way. Nope, your just throwing into the action without really introducing the characters. Personally I enjoyed Rising much more then 100 heroes. But if you like the Square Enix retro style games that they have recently released then you'll likely like this game.

For what it's worth yes, it is worth every $$. I'd rather pay full price then to get it Discounted just to pay Respects to the series creator who passed away.

This game is a strong 6-7 in my opinion. To much is flawed in it and the story has nothing on Suikoden. I think we been to starved for this style of JRPG so people act "nicer" to it.

So basically, great game but the localization sucks as fkin usual.

"and excedra" makes zero sense. "Et cetera" already contains the word "and".

Looks like a solid JRPG, but ancient in many ways unfortunately. Lacks many basic QoL improvements that have been made over the years.

seems most games run better on the ps then xbox including xbox games.. reason is most games using sony tech when developing the a game since sony sells more consoles... and games...
