That long wait for fast travel is nothing if you've played Suikoden 2. You already owned a fricking castle by the time you get the blinking mirror and Viki lol

its a kickstarter game from the original creator of legendary Suikoden 1 and 2 Yohitaka Murayama, who tragicaly passed away just before the game release, it didnt have resource like other big company game, so its pretty impressive, so far im loving it, taking me back to my childhood, im giving it 8/10 ..., hope there will be eiyuden 2 with more budget and bigger team ...

If you love Suikoden , then this game is a no brainer

It's incredible for anybody who enjoyed Gameboy jrpgs like Pokemon red/blue. It's modern day suikoden. It's glorious.

@@jksanrio you know Kickstarter backers got it early right? It's entirely possible for several people to have beaten the game. So the skepticism is unwarranted and feminine.

The duel for the enemy next action to take is based on their dialogue, if their dialogue is tempting us to attack they will use counter, if their dialogue feel like they will attack, it's attack, is not chances, Suikoden also like that.

@@gordonatkins8190 It doesn't have to be perfect but most of this guy's criticism is just straight up whining and shows he knows nothing about the design nor its intended audiences.

the early backtracking is not that bad you can put in low level characters into the party and level them on the way back its worth even if they arent your main party since they determine the strength of your field army if you are a fan of Fire Emblem you should give this one a chance

For me this is so far my Game of the Year!

Should've mentioned that the whole game is a love letter and pretty much the successor to the Suikoden series. It's great.

After campaign is there anything to do? Like unlimited small missions or freedom to roam? Ex pokemon, beat the game but can still go battle and do things. If this makes sense 😅

Jowy did not betray Riou, it was like they received one of the 27 true runes each and with Jowy had the black sword rune which has a diffrent path than the shield rune on how to end the Dunan War

3 Minutes into the video and your critics are: 1) Slow start because the story is actually told properly 2) You sometimes have to think for yourself about what you have to do 3) You have to actually play the game for a while before being able to fast travel (The map up to this point isn't even big)

Suikoden 2 is my all time favorite rpg, loving Eiyuden so far!

The soundtrack and voice acting in this game are amazing!! for me is 8.5 minimum and 9 maximum

Did the reviewer not play any suikoden games where this is clearly inspired by? Suikoden 1/2 are very close to this and are very much loved.

It makes me really sad that this review references Pokemon several times and there isn't a single mention of Suikoden. Surely SOMEBODY at IGN has played a Suikoden game?! You've got to have somebody over age 20 over there, right?

This is much more like sequel to Suikoden 2 ❤

They played the pre-release version.. our's have day 1 patch so re-balanced version with nerfs & buffs

This reminds me a bit of how the remake for Star Ocean Second Story was done!

after beating the game.. out of 10... it was 4 out of 10 for me compared to suikoden 2

For suikoden 1 or 2, it will take a while too befoee you can do the fast travel and there aew also tons of cannon fodder but cool characters

A decent amount of the gripes are, "the game did not hold my hand." So I'm sold, baught the game.

Because 9 are reserved for GTA 6 and Elder Scroll 6, therefore, should put everything else in 7 to make a room for the king

love the game! but... no protagonists true runes or special lenses (or legendary power) is sad. soul-eater and bright shield runes were one of the things that made suikoden what it was meanwhile this game has lots of similarities from suikoden, but it manages to ignore or miss the one most important aspect of the game which are the ultimate powers.
