The thing with Eivor is she either sing the song exactly as is in the CD or change it completely and is still wonderful if not even better! Check more of her live songs : "Wake me up" for more epicness!; would say "í tokuni" but there are not much live version of it but recorded by fans mostly; "verd mín" is another good one; "Slor" and "Surrender" at London studio; and "Far away" the stripped back version, also "Gullspunnin" Live on KVF. Thank you for keep on giving an opportunity! She deserves more recognition!

When she plays live here on the Faroe Islands with a full band and backvocals she most often does exactly what you said you want :) It sounds more like the studio versions of the songs with extra vocalising often put at the end of the songs to intensify or lenghten the songs :) she is always AMAZING 🥰🇫🇴🥰

Thank you for such a beautiful reaction. "True Love" is one of most amazing and powerful Eivør songs. When I listened to this song for the several first times, it seemed to me that her voice almost takes my soul out of the body, especially in the second half. This is something indescribable.

Wow, I never came across this, so glad I caught it on here and your great reaction to it, it’s a bit disturbing when something is so good there aren’t the words for it. I really like the live version, great song. She’s super talented. I would also love to hear how her band would sound on this, I’m still recovering from the epic live Falling Free, that drummer is the nuts! Brilliant

Hello! First of all, I very much enjoy your reactions to all different kind of artists. I like that you take several aspects into consideration, including the lyrics! And I am really glad that more people get to know the universe of Eivør. The amazing thing with her performances is that there is always something new and different with every performance of the same song. This makes it so exciting to hear your old favourite song become your new favourite song. This song ”true love” is indeed one the songs I love most of hers. Sofar I have heard many, and the one I love the most is at the moment not available because it was from a live concert in Tórshavn 2020 but hopefully it will be available eventually. If you want to listen to another version there is this one, live too, with more instrumentation. It’s a different one than these two. kzread.info/dash/bejne/a6ZprdFpksyqpJs.html AND this one is more original: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hGh8yaSwptDUXdY.html

KZread for some reason deletes my comments with links. I wanted to suggest that the concert you mentioned (Segl release concert, which was at the end of 2020) can be found on the website of the Faroese TV channel Kringvarp Føroya. And also many other interesting videos where Eivør sings or something else about her.

Great video Mike, glad to see you're feeling better. Music amazing, you have still great songs left, Gullspunnin and ' islandroads present Eivør ' versions of Leonard Cohens Blue raincoat and one of hers, Mjokoflokar (sp) amongst others. I think also you ought to watch Wardruna and while many would recomnend Helvegen with aurora to start, I'm going to suggest you start with the title of the newest album Kvitravn (white raven) instead - trust me - Helvegen can be second. I haven't found a live version yet but the whole mood of the Kvitravn video is so totally enchanting and I'd describe it as heavy Viking folk music if that's a genre. It's a long video but the music the voices just transport you and Einar is a music god!

Hey John, thank you for the well wishes and for the comment! Yeah, the 3rd day after the vaccine, I felt a million times better... probably because I was so tired I slept so much and caught up on sleep! So I definitely will get to these other ones as well, she is my favorite artist out of everything I reacted to now. I absolutely love this woman. My next reaction of hers though is a surprise. It is a song that one of my real life friends had discovered after seeing my reactions, and asked me to listen to. No one has asked for this one yet I do not think!

@@Yeedeed hey Mike - I was so lucky with my vaccine and had no side effects either shot not even a sore arm ! Am intrigued to see the song you choose. I think of Eivør as exhibiting a lot of progressive rock characteristics as well as her folktronic side too. Shes unique thats for sure. There's a mindset you're fully in to appreciate the whole Nordic/Viking thing. After my first message I went to Wardruna to hear White Raven again and I listened to it 4 or 5 times in a row, it moves me each time in a very unique way,. Please put this on your list as I have a strong feeling you will get it. In a totally opposite frame of mine, our UK national treasures Little Mix dropped a stunning acoustic version of their song Confetti this weekend, they have amazing vocal skills and while predominantly pop, (you probably wouldn't like the studio version, despite the hilarious video they just did for it) this acoustic version has a pretty universal appeal if you like a good guitar riff, great vocals and super harmonies, it blew me away! . And they are totally down to earth girls too. Them, Wardruna and Eivør have been my biggest surprises from watching reaction channels these last few months and have expanded my current playlist enormously. You're a conduit to share and receive all these things so thanks for all yoUr efforts!

Isn’t she wonderful?- When I first saw the first official video there was more - when he enters her home at the end and is staring he sees the other Reaper is taking her soul away because she committed suicide- she wanted Death not him - I’ve tried and tried to find the full video again but have had no luck - If anyone out there has a link to it PLEASE post it here ! I don’t know why it was removed- maybe it was too shocking even tho they don’t show the actual act

Yeedeed, if you are impressed with the Grand Finale in ‘falling free’ then you certainly will be blown away by the Grand Finale in ‘wake me up’ in the concert linked below. Eivør going supersonic to the point where you can no longer distinguish her voice from an electric guitar solo.. No kidding! Without the visuals you would honestly think it was a Fender singing.. Wow You might say, then that would be the Grand Finale? eh no! The drummer just pours out 10 years of life energy to the Grand Finale, making the audience applaud prematurely😂 It’s the last song of the concert.. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hmGdr9KgqNHNkdY.html

Knowing you are rock guy to I would appreciate a comment on the drum-bit outro as well🙏 Those drumbeats are to me even in a slow tempo demanding drumbeats. Note that whole arm is moving up and down in beat with the music for a completely vertical beat! Swinging the sticks in the hand wrist, and you can fairly easy raise the tempo, but doing the same with the whole arm involved😂 The drummer goes menthal, completely berserk😂😂 Like as to say: yeah Eivør now you have had your vocal outburst, but i’ll top that easily.. Eivør has given in, the keyboard player has given in.. BUT the drummer keeps going.. The last bit remains after the applaud though.. The final build up with all instruments, but the drummer is flat out drained😂 Note that keyboard player is throwing in a ‘fill’, while the drummer reloads, and Eivør can’t help herself but revealing a laugh😂😂

Hello my friend and thank you very much for yet another reaction to one of my top 3 favourite female vocalists. This song is incredible. But I really wanna chime in to give you MY personal favourite of hers, namely "Mjørjaflókar". There is one concert she held in the capital of Iceland, Torshavn, where this one particular performance comes from. ALL of that concert is just off the charts beautiful. Here is the link for that one : kzread.info/dash/bejne/aGF6sJqpaL3YdLw.html Maybe you are wondering how on Earth it is possible to have Eivør at number 3 ? - I'll list my top 3 and also give you a link to one of my favourite performances from my MOST favourite female artist. 1) Angelina Jordan Astar from Norway, age 15 Here is the link for one of her covers that she recorded at the age of 10 (I guarantee 100% that you won't believe what you hear) : kzread.info/dash/bejne/dqpsz8x8mJjPmag.html 2) Aurora from Norway - I know she is one of YOUR favourites too, and I know that you have reacted previously to my favourite song by her, but that video was greyed out. However, there is another version of that song, which she performed in the oldest and most beautiful cathedral we have here in Norway, called Nidarosdomen. That performance is sending me over the edge almost every time I listen to and watch it. Here is the link for that one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oJd7m9yNqtbPo6g.html 3) Eivõr - And I have already provided the link to my favourite by her. :-) Please take the time to check this out, it's a choice you won't regret anytime soon my friend. On a sidenote - Angelina's fanbase is HUGE and extremely loyal and growing by the minute. IF you're intrigued by the performance I sent you and you want to react to some more of her, you'll definitely see your subscribers increase dramatically. You are still on my top 5 list of reactors out there. You seem extremely grounded and sincere, ant there is no hyping like screaming or running around in the room, and I really applaude that. Much love and respect from Norway.
