There are two current DGD members in this. Andrew is their rhythm guitarist and does sing in some songs, and the lead guitarist Sergio is DGD's new bassist, filling in for Tim after his passing.

Happy to hear some new stuff from Eidola! This single made me go back and revisit their THE ARCHITECT album from 2021. FYI - "No weapon formed shall prosper" is an allusion to a passage from the King James translation of the bible.

That album still slaps hard! Album of the Year 2021 for sure 💪

I find Eidola more Cohesive than dance gavin dance. Dannce seems pretty experimental and in the midist of expepimenting you sometimes arrange something that is "all over the place" and, if you dont revisit your song with a focus on whats the theme or like, what makes the song flow better, then you wind up with some strange songs.. which is cool for a more goofy band i think dance is. This sense of an non-diligent focused revision on the song amplifies the notion of a more "sit back" band that chills and all that Eidola (and andrew) seems to have a mission - of self discovery and of wanting to help people who want that to have something motivating them in the back of the head (that is: andrew screaming) In that process i feel like they make a more fluid and power driven song And im all about it I like DGD, but not as musch as Eidola

Andrew writes alot for DGD and is also a member of DGD 😂

I agree with you Johnny, somethjng about the songwriting and structure of DGD doesnt hit with me too, but I love Eidola.

I get what Johnny was saying about the difference between Eidola and DGD, Eidola has a bit more structure in their songs whereas DGD is more random lyrically and in structure. Also Andrew's tone is a bit easier to resonate with than Tillian's higher register. I love both bands equally but I took to Eidola quicker than DGD

Washington Weather is pretty bipolar, but I only ever complain when it's really hot or really cold here lol Enjoyed this song a lot, his high parts gave me vibes of Matt Flood from Caskets!

Love these guys, it's crazy to see Andrew not playing guitar like he does in DGD. But he doesn't need to 😂

Being from Iowa we get the worst of both seasons. Nice muggy heat, and windy cold snow. Other than having to shovel, I'll take snow over muggy heat.

Eidola has a massive religous influence in their lyrics. It is way more focused than the nonsensical lyrics of DGD.

It’s from the Bible

I love Eidola but this sounds like generic core 😢
