시놉시스: 1971년부터 메탈 그룹 유라이어 힙에서 활동하며 일세를 풍미했던 드러머 리 커슬 레이크의 삶과 음악 세계를 담은 작품이다. 유라이어 힙이 내놓은 대부분의 앨범들과 함께 블랙 사바스의 리더였던 오지 오스본과의 솔로 활동에도 참여하여 두 장의 걸작을 내놓았던 커슬레이크는 2007년 건강상의 문제로 은퇴할 수밖에 없었지만, 암 투병을 하면서도 인생의 버킷리스트였던 솔로 앨범을 녹음하며 2020년 세상을 떠날 때까지 ‘진정한 뮤지션’으로 살았던 드러머였다. 이 작품은 오지 오스본과의 갈등과 화해, 유라이어 힙 멤버 및 여러 록 밴드 멤버들과의 우정, 그리고 솔로 앨범의 제작 과정 등 흥미로운 뒷이야기들과 함께 2018년 12월14일, 유라이어 힙 공연에 깜짝 출연하며 팬들을 감동시킨 생의 마지막 공연 모습까지 담아냈다.
The film records the life and music of Lee Kerslake, a legendary drummer of our time who played for the metal group Uriah Heep from 1971. Apart from most Uriah Heep albums, he also worked on Black Sabbath’s leader Ozzy Osbourne’s solo albums, two of which have become masterpieces. In 2007, his deteriorating health forced him to step out of the mainstream. Yet while battling cancer, he recorded his solo album to fulfill his bucket list goals. Lee Kerslake lived as a true musician until he passed away in 2020. The film displays interesting behind-the-scenes stories such as his conflict and reconciliation with Ozzy Osbourne, his friendship with Uriah Heep members and other rock band members, the production of his solo album, and his last performance that touched the fans with his surprise appearance at a Uriah Heep gig on December 14,2018.
