Fun fact: You know why the background shattered like glass during "The Eve" live performance, right when they focused on D.O.? As a member of EXO, D.O.'s superpower is the ability to use the elements of earth (dirt) which give him strength/force. So what you saw was, as D.O. raised his hands above his head, he used his superpower to break the background. And during the rap section in "Forever," if you notice, the background becomes swirling flames to represent Chanyeol and Sehun's combined powers of fire and wind. As you can see, everything EXO does has something to do with their origin story and their powers, even live performances. You will see in future performances other examples of the members using their powers as well. For example, when it rains on stage, you will see them focus on Suho because he has the power to control water, and when they sing about "Thunder" you will see them focus on Chen because he controls Thunder/lightning/electricity. Baekhyun has the power to control light, so you will often see him turn the lights off or on when he is one stage, and when they sing about snow or winter you will see Xiumin because he controls snow/ice/frost, etc. To help you pinpoint the powers being used in EXO's MVs and live performances, here is a list of the members and what their special power is: EXO-K 💦 Suho (Kim JunMyeon) is the leader of the group and he is a lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control water (Fun fact: Suho in Korean means guardian, as in the guardian of EXO. That's why as the leader of EXO, his stage name is Suho.) 💡Baekhyun is a main vocalist and his superpower is the ability to control light 🔥Chanyeol is the main rapper and lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control fire and his spirit animal is the phoenix. 🌏D.O. (Do KyungSoo) is a main vocalist and his power is the ability to control earth (dirt) which gives him strength/force ☄Kai (Kim JongIn) is a main dancer, lead vocalist and sub-rapper and his power is teleportation (Kai means opening as in a door or gateway, so his stage name is meant to symbolize his role in the group.) 🌪Sehun is the youngest member of the group and he is a lead rapper, lead dancer and a vocalist -- his power is the ability to control wind EXO-M ❄Xiumin (Kim MinSeok) is the oldest member of the group and he is a lead vocalist and lead rapper and his power is the ability to control snow/ice (frost) 🦄 Lay (Zhang Yixing) is the Chinese member of the group, he is a main dancer, lead vocalist and rapper -- his power is the ability to heal anything. 🌩 Chen (Kim JongDae) is a main vocalist and his power is the ability to control thunder/lightning/electricity (As you can see, Xiumin and Chen were given stage names that sounded more Chinese so they would fit in better in EXO-M because they are the Korean members of the Chinese group) The Chinese members who are no longer part of the group, but are still an important part of EXO's storyline: 🐉 Kris was the leader of EXO-M he was a main rapper and vocalist -- his power was the ability to fly and his spirit animal was a dragon (Kris left the group in April 2014.) 💭 Luhan was a main vocalist and his power was telekinesis (The ability to control things with his mind) (Luhan left the group in October 2014.) ⏰Tao (Z.Tao) was a lead rapper and vocalist and the martial artist of the group, so he did the flips and stunts in the group's routines. His power was the ability to control time (Tao ended activities with EXO in August 2015.) If you haven't already, you really need to check out the dance practice for "The Eve." There is no MV for "The Eve" because it's a B-side track. But it was one of the songs they promoted with along with their main track "Ko Ko Bop," so there is some epic choreography that goes with the song. On a side note: If you like EXO's version of "The Eve" you should hear the English version of the song. "The Eve" was co-wrote and composed by Henry Lau from Super Junior-M -- which is a senior group to EXO, also under SM Entertainment -- and he sings a short demo version of the song in English, kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZH-Tz6qRc8W3p7A.html. There is a clip of Henry in the recording studio singing the song you should watch. Henry is the youngest member of Super Junior and he is considered a music genius. Henry is Chinese/Taiwanese-Canadian, so his first language is English. He recorded a demo of the song so everyone can hear the English lyrics that he wrote and get a feel for the original style of the song. But unfortunately, SM never had Henry record the full English version, which most listeners will agree is a shame, because Henry's vocals and the English lyrics would have made this song an even bigger hit than it already is. The English version is less than 2 minutes long, but once you hear it you will understand why the choreo for this song was designed the way it is. 😁 "The Eve" and "Forever" performance is part of the opening set from their EXOPlanet #4 concert. The "Diamond" + "Coming Over" + "Run This" + "Drop That" + "Power" set you watched previously was the closing set of this concert. This is an almost 3 hour concert so there are a lot of stages. To really understand how epic an EXO concert is, you should consider watching a whole concert sometime. Almost all of EXO's official DVDs are uploaded to KZread and you can watch a whole concert from beginning to end, kzread.info/dash/bejne/iWadyM2Saaefhps.html. You really need to see the transitions between sets and all the extra elements that make up a Kpop concert, which you will see when you watch a whole concert. Only after watching a full concert will you really appreciate how much work goes into it. Kpop concerts are unlike any other concert you have ever seen.

@@CheG1224 Henry debuted as a member of Super Junior-M in 2008 when he was only 18 years old. The year Henry graduated high school he auditioned for SM Entertainment when they held auditions in Canada and he impressed them so much with his violin dance routine that they signed him right away. Henry was one of the Kpop industry's very first foreign/non-Korean artists, and he only trained for about a year before he debuted in Super Junior -- and that was only because he needed to learn Korean and become more proficient in Mandarin. He has been a famous musician, artist, entertainer, producer, etc. for more than 14 years now. In 2008, when SM announced the addition of Henry and Zhoumi (two Chinese members) to Super Junior's group and the creation of Super Junior-M -- which was designed to create music in Mandarin for the Chinese music industry -- Korean fans protested. Some fans were against adding any new members to Super Junior (which already had 13 members). So the Korean fans forced SM to agree to only make Henry and Zhoumi members of Super Junior's Mandarin sub-unit (they needed more Chinese members to make the Chinese sub-unit work), and they were not allowed to be included in anything to do with the main group of Super Junior. So, when not doing activities with Super Junior-M, Henry and Zhoumi also became some of SM's first members of an active group to go solo. Henry left SM in 2018 when his contract was up after 10 years, and started his own independent company called Monster Entertainment Group, but that doesn't mean he left Super Junior. After all, Henry is one of Lee SooMan's (SM's) favorite people. (Even though SM may have never allowed Henry to reach his full potential under them, which is part of the reason why he left the company. But I don't think there was any bad blood between them when he left, and he has always been one of SM's most prized artists for the amount of talent he has.)

Sometimes, EXO live performances is way better than their recorded discs...their performances is amazing!!!

Forever was actually also produced by LDN noise (same producer for Monster) Also, that opening set in the Elyxion concert is divine. Kokobop + Growl is next and Kyungsoo’s (D.O.) vocals during Elyxion was insane. Well he delivers everytime but buzzcut Kyungsoo just hits different. And also buzzcut Kyungsoo is just from Oct 2017-Jan 2018 (he was filming his movie Swing Kids) all while going on a tour.

EXO vocals are really the best and their live performances always proves it❤️❤️Chanyeol rap in forever song is really iconic🔥🔥
