    Thanks I just brought the whole EGO mower trimmer and blower. My first time ever cutting. The tip on trimmer side to stand really helps. I wish they had a set control as I have to learn not to squeeze to hard else I'll go deeper than I want in the edged. Practice makes perfect. I might put a strap on it because it's not light. I did see another video say make sure the handle is leveled and don't bend and rest your arm on the battery. Thanks again

    @@AroundTheHome1 I am embarrassed to say that I let my edges and weeding go far to long because I did not want to face how to untangle to string after it disappeared on one side. Thanks to You Tube University - your "class' and another one, it was simple. I have the power loader with the green pad at the bottom. When I opened it, I found I was not out of line, but for some reason it had tangled inside. I pulled it all out and re-threaded it evenly on both sides, reassembled it, pressed the load button, and voila, it slowly clicked and pulled the string back in and I stopped at a manageable length. I am a happy camper now. My only issue with Ego is they should not have to rely on smart guys like you to take us through this. EGO products are really good at showing WHAT they do; there is almost no information explicitly showing the HOW to get the products to work. You won't believe how much time I spent online yesterday looking for information on HOW their shoulder strap should be worn on the body for optimal ergonomic results. I'm not a landscaper, just a guy who let my gardener go because I want the exercise.

    There is not a telescoping pole on this. You can just adjust the handle position. It may feel a little long at first but you get used to it. My kids and the neighbor kid uses this and love it. My kids are 5'4" and 5'9", and the neighbor kid is 4'11 1/2". They are able to use my two EGO string trimmers with ease. String get shorter after 5 min use very frustrating please advise, thinking returning to store back

  • @AroundTheHome1

    @AroundTheHome1

    3 жыл бұрын

    I would like to advise, but I don't know how you are using it. The string could easily get shorter after 5 minutes of use if it is being run against the ground or into a fence. Then you would just need to bump the head and get more out. Are you used to an auto feed system? If you did come from an auto feed system then you may have never learned how to properly hold the trimmer to keep from burning up a lot of string because it just kept feeding it out.

    Well, let's just say it is too soon to know for sure. I have one that was a 2018 and it went bad in 1 year. I did get it replaced under warranty. I have older ones that are still going and newer ones as well. So, the best I can tell something did happen around 2018 to 2019 on the batteries and that sucks, but so far I have no indication that my newer batteries will have any problem. But my 2 newer batteries are 1 and 1 1/2 years old respectively so they are still too new to know if they will pass the 4 year mark strong or not. That's what I know.

    *I have used Stihl for over 20 years 🌴 **allabout.wiki/EGO** and after reading some reviews of this trimmer, I tried EGO Power+ , and I'm going to switch. Compared to several Stihl trimmers I've had, this one is easier to start, quieter, and feels at least as well built . A major plus is it doesn't have the wonky, always leaking, complicated gas tank caps that Stihl has.*
