Ingredients:
* Atta - 1.5 Cups / 185g
* Jaggery - 3/4th Cup / 120g
* Water - 3/4th Cup/ 180g
* Baking powder - 2 Tsp /8g
* Soda - 1/2 Tsp /2.5g
* Dahi - 3 Tbsp /60g
* Oil - 6 Tbsp / 65g
* Milk - 1/2 Cup/ 120g
* Salt - 1/4th Tsp/ 2g
Crumble:
* Atta/ Whole Wheat Flour - 3 Tbsps/ 25g
* Jaggery Pwd - 1.5 Tbsps/ 15g
* Almonds - 1.5 Tbsps
* Butter - 1 Tbsp
* Cinnamon Pwd - 1/4th Tsp
Process:
* Start by mixing jaggery powder & hot water until the jaggery dissolves
* Add in the oil, vanilla essence, curd & whisk until a homogeneous mixture is achieved
* In a separate bowl mix together wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt
* Sift in the dry mixture into the wet mixture into three parts, while adding the milk simultaneously - whisk until a smooth batter is formed
* To make the crumble - combine wheat flour, jaggery powder, chopped almonds & melted butter until a sandy mixture is formed
* Preheat the oven at 170C
* Transfer the cake batter into a greased & lined 6” inch cake tin, smoothen it out with the back of a spatula & top it up with the almond crumble
* Bake the cake in a preheated 170C for 45-50 mins/ until a skewer inserted comes out clean
* Allow the cake to cool down, un-mould it carefully & allow it to cool down completely before slicing it
* Serve, Slice & Enjoy 🎂🍰

Hi , i added everything in exact proportions but the batter was too runny and hence i ahd to add 30 gm extra atta and even then the batter wasn't as thick as urs...
No need to use vanilla essence?

Hi! Buttermilk should work- please add less of the milk in that case- the batter shouldn't be too liquid-y

The recipe says to add 3 tbsp of curd...so cn we add 3tbsp of milk + 1 tbsp of vinegar/lemon juice to make buttermilk ?
