Unser Bassposaunist hat gut gefrühstückt 😀. Der Knabenchor hat Probleme mit dem Rhytmus....aber das Tempo ist auch fies... aber notwendig. Der Organist macht es gut, aber noch etwas abgehackter und weniger warten wäre noch besser. Trotzdem... wie schön die originale Version mit dem eckigen Rhytmus zu hören. Es fehlt nur jemand in dem Aufzug, der die Musik offensiv mitgeht.

Ich freue mich über den Rhythmus. Himmlische Musik. Nicht wahr, LKMD Martin B. aus B. ? 🤗

When you think about it - what a significant event it was that happened 500 years earlier! And which was celebrated at this very place. Of course legend has it that Martin Luther himself nailed his 95 theses on the door of that very church! And the world was never going to be the same again. Not just Christianity split but Europe was also violently torn apart by war and politics in its struggle to modernize. And it took centuries to get the continent into its current state.

What was the device carried in procession beside the Holy Bible, please? It's interesting to note that Protestant Churches in Germany still retain Christ on the cross. Protestant Churches in the UK and in particular Northern Ireland, where I live, only ever use an 'empty' cross. Superb music too 👍👍👍

@@jacktheflyboy Is the Lutheran denomination not considered 'Reformed?' In Northern Ireland, we don't have the Lutheran church, but denominations quite closely related...👍👍👍

In Germany, there are Lutheran, reformed and united churches (where I am). My pastor said that Lutheran and Reformed churches even have more things to argue than Lutheran and Catholic churches. The unity was also very hard. Now we celebrate 200 years anniversary of the unity in Baden (a former German state, now a part of Baden-Württemberg)

@@jacktheflyboy Thank you for the insight. In Northern Ireland, I was raised as a member of the Presbyterian church which is an ultra strict denomination of the Protestant church. Very simple with the Sola Fide ideas. As an adult, I have adhered to the Anglican/Episcopalian denomination: A bit more liberal, but still no Rosary, candles, bells or smells.....👍👍👍

@@gaggymott9159 the the Lutheran Church is protestant but not reformed. The reformed churches follow zwingly and Calvin and John Knox not Luther.

Dir ist schon klar, dass es da um die Reformation geht? Also weg vom Prunk, hin zum Wesentlichen? So wie Jesus es gepredigt hat! So können nur Götzenanbeter der römisch-paganen Kirche reden.

@@wutenderkater2440 Also das Prunkargument zieht wohl eher nicht, wenn man sich die schöne prachtvolle Kirche ansieht. Demnach müsste die Pastoren auch ihre langen Gewänder ausziehen. (vgl. Mk 12,38) Mir ist ja durchaus bewusst, dass Katholiken-Bashing niemals aus der Mode gerät, aber das können Sie sich dennoch gerne sparen.

@@ManuelRennhofer Die langen Gewänder (also Talare) sollen doch genau das erreichen: Sie sind eine Amtstracht und kein liturgisches Gewand wie Albe und Stola. Ein reines schwarz, um den Fokus vom Pfarrer und der Mode ganz auf die Lehre zu lenken.

Schöne musik, aber trotzdem eine Frage: Warum trägt der Man ein Tschechenigel? ;-)

Hab ich mich selber gefragt, Laut Wikipedia ist das ein sogenanntes Versöhnungskreuz, ein Symbol der Ökumenischen Bewgegung... Nichts gegen Ökumenie, aber wenigstens am 500. Reformationstag hätte man sich das doch sparen können...

@@marachad7949 bezeichnest du mir jetzt die evangelischen Menschen als Ketzer dann habe ich eine Botschaft für dich schau dir mal an was damals zurzeit mal ich nur dass die katholische Kirche für einen Mist gebaut hat

Musicalement c'est superbe (il me semble que le choeur de garçons est le Thomaner chor de Leipzig), et cette cérémonie, dans cette grande église, impressionne. Mais elle m'a aussi laissée perplexe. On ne verrait jamais une chose comme ça dans un temple réformé français (calviniste) : procession avec croix, pasteurs avec croix en sautoir,(les pasteurs réformés ne portent ni croix ni étole) . Plus que la tenue des pasteurs, c'est le côté processionnel, avec un décorum totalement absent chez les réformés français, qui m'a surprise. Bon, OK, c'est à Wittenberg, et c'est une cérémonie un peu particulière, (culte de la Réformation, pour les 500 ans de la Réforme, là où tout commencé) mais tout de même...

Luther didn't dispute any fundamentals of the catholic faith. He merely disagreed with abuses tied in with some medieval accretions of the Roman church. He believed in Mary, the Real Presence, the saints, confession, etc.
