I have the first MP-52 KO, and I thought it was a great figure for the price. This one seems to be a better deal since it has upgraded ankles/feet. Mine just shipped from ShowZ a couple days ago, can't wait for it to arrive! This video is much appreciated, thanks!

This alternative KO does come with some flaws in the accessories, like the smirking face, the blaster effects, the stand and the stand clip. And multiple KO manufacturers would offer more choices to get the whole seeker team.

If this is still on showz would it still be under the deformation eagle name? I think there's some 4th party mp52 molds on there but I'm just not sure if it's this specific latest release

Superb review. Also thank you so much for showing off that it can still be posed very decently even without a waist swivel. The neck and head joints are a massive help in that regard, I'd think.

Thanks for the comment! MP 52 is still pretty posable, and I guess it would cost a lot more to develop a proper waist rotation with this design.

Thanks for watching! With some super glue and sand paper, the stand clip could be fixed onto the stand and inserted into the jet, not perfect, but a working solution.

Definitely getting this guy someday

Hi Artur, you are more than welcome, and I hope you find the ones you like. These KO seekers are pretty good value for the price, EG Thundercracker is out now as well. Masterpiece Grimlock is available with very reasonable price, and it is very well built as well, I bought one a few years back, and it still holds very well, but that's the only Dinobot in the market, you can find it on aliexpress.

​@@OptimusLegends I have the MP08. He is very nice, although he has some soft parts. I wanted Grimlock and the gang at equivalent scale sizes. Gigapower's are perfect, but far beyond my expectations. If I'm not talking about them, could you show here which Dinobots you mentioned????

@@OptimusLegends Something I tied myself to was these hands of his! I have Megatron IT-01 and Optimus Prime. They might as well have their hands in this same shape.

I would like to get a set of KO seekers to be displayed in jet mode alongside DS seekers in bot mode. Still can't make up my mind to go Eagle or straight KO before I get them from Aliexpress

Great video, man. This ko looks good...but the Deformation Space one though.

Looks very nice but for me the DS figure nails it. Have all three of them. Have recently bought mp11 sunstorm and yeah, I really like him too but again DS is far better.

Good review , does your copy have any paint chips or blemish’s?

Hi Sick Case, thanks for the comment. There are about 3 tiniest spots on the metal parts on the chest, pause at 6:17, under Starscream's right missile launcher, at the top right corner of the 'ribs', there is a spot, and under the left missile launcher, also top right corner, another spot at the bottom left corner of the ribs as well. Actually I was not aware of them until you ask, I checked them and found they were already there in the video, really hard to find though.

Hi Chicknparm, thanks for the comment, I heard people have successfully replaced the ankles, but I am not certain. So I've just ordered Thundercracker KO from another KO vendor, which is an exact copy to the original, I would be able to make a comparison video and see if it is possible to replace the ankles. If you are not in a rush, I will try to make it clear in my next video.

@@OptimusLegends UPDATE: Got my EagleScream. Remember the old KOs from a years ago? Remember how they just weren't quite there compared to the originals? Yeah. That's what my copy of EagleScream is like. I have the KO StarScream as well, and this thing definitely feels $30 cheaper. One thing I will say. For some reason I can get this one into a cleaner jetmode than the other KO. It's a pain in the ass to do it, but I CAN get the panels to line up 95% and it looks better. I think I am going to see if I can cannibalize the two of them and build a more perfect copy. Should be getting the EagleCracker soon so we'll see if they cleaned things up in the second run. Here's hoping.

Hi Moshe, it appears that EG KO built their own mold, it has sharper panel lines, better paint, has metal feet, but it feels less smooth transforming the figure compared to the MD KO, and the knee joint could be a bit loose. I did not have MD SS, and I compared it with MD Thundercracker in the other video. I hope the original could improve the build materials, I am reserving my Skywarp slot for it. I heard people buying EG to replace the broken parts on the original, might be a good idea.

Hi Rui, thanks for the question. Based on what I know, I would not recommend the straight KO of SS, but rather Thundercracker. Thanks for the question. I did not go with DS seekers, because I think MP 52 looks better. Although I do hope MP 52 is a bit taller just like DS seekers, scales better with Megatron.

I hope the Eagle not skywarp has a purple that is in between that of DS and the official. The official mp was way off on the purple if you compare it to the G1 cartoon.

Huh. Better feet, better ankles, still no waist swivel. And for around 85 USD, it gives the reissue BB7 MP11 KO a run for the money. I don't know, maaan...I may not be a fan of the design of MP52, but this may be the most accessible MP Seeker for the time being.

I guess the size of MP 52 is the biggest complaint from fans. For the waist, well, it's really hard to have everything right on one figure, and also, the production quality is another terrible mistake from Takara Tomy. Hope they could improve on these issues.

Size...yeah, it does seem off, but that's due to the robot mode being a chubby guy - from some videos & written reviews that actually compare MP52 to MP11, they're actually both the same height. Guessing that MP11's slimmer profile hides it better. Wish the plastic quality on my copy of EG01 would've been better; those panels on the sides that fold inward, the left side one stressed & cracked to where it's hanging out by a prayer. The slim panel on the right foot that hides the landing gear is also badly stressed and on borrowed time. The wing assembly won't tab into place, and nothing on the bottom lines up correctly (including the feet not folding in to sit flush). It's a shame, because the robot mode is AMAZING. I ain't pay for an Action Master, but after this nonsense with this abysmal transformation, I'm gonna get him back to robot mode and never transform him again. It makes me very wary of Eagle's Thundercracker (and Skywarp, whenever they get around to him)...but the better feet, ankles, & knees are a huge plus over the straight 1:1 KOs & the legit Takara MP52 mold, can't overlook that.

@@DragoonMS That is the biggest problem of the current MP line. Over engineering. It makes the production process, the cost, the quality control and the overall transformation experience all got significantly worse, sure, some fans love cartoon accuracy, but that's also too many sacrifices. The MP line stayed quiet for a while now, MP 53 and 54 were attempts to step into a different direction to balance how the MP line would evolve, let's wait and see. For MP seekers, take a mix of EG, KO and the official might be a good approach, just so that we risk suffering the same issues on all figures.

Yes, Takara Tomy should really rethink why did they over engineer a toy and charge so much for it, when they could not control the quality.
