Manny got game.

I knew Manny loved pool but I had no idea he was that good. He controls the cue ball well, he plays good patterns, he makes tough recovery shots and gets back in line. Fargorate has him as a 628 with 38 games played but I would put him above 650 based on this match. I'm sure he has played Efren many times over the years and they know each other well since he loves pool so much.

Manny was already great player. Before barrera fight manny pastime is pool. I saw him way back in 1999 to 2001 playing pool in Davao city vs known professional pool player in entire philippines sponsor by him and Digong Duterte.

I found his patterns to be pretty unoptimal and often overshoots the best positions to be in, honestly. He only really makes up for it with a solid stroke and great pocketing. He's undoubtedly a good player, but if this had money on the line, I don't think Efren would lose to what Manny has shown here.

After that match Reyes defeated manny in the ring. Knocked him out twice in the first round 😂

Given his terrible form with the cue, yes he is incredibly good. People are saying efren went easy on him, but manny can definitely run the rack. He should join a pro tournament at some point and see where it ends up.

His coordination and fundamental skills even from years ago do suggest he's familiar with the game beyond just casual play. Pool is huge in the Philippines. Fedor Gorst talked on joe organs podcast about how even the bartenders and average pool players are very decent over there. Not surprised that manny is pretty good but it’s still very cool to see!

Haha, that's a great observation! Manny Pacquiao's head movement, so characteristic of his boxing style, certainly adds a unique flair to his billiards game. It's not often you see such athletic habits crossover into different sports effectively. But then again, being a world-class athlete like Manny means you can bring a bit of your own style to whatever you do and still excel. It's just another example of his incredible versatility and adaptability. 😅

Wow. That was fun to watch. I had heard Manny was a great shot, but I didn't realize he was an "able to be competitive with Efren" type of great shot. Clearly, Efren wasn't playing at the pinnacle of his ability in this match, but that doesn't make it any less impressive. Congrats to Manny for winning this excellent match!

I was astonished by Manny's performance. I didn't know he could play so well. Next, he could play a chess match against Wesley So (now also American citizen) Thx for the video.

Manny plays pretty solid. He plays pretty loose and got a lot of rolls for position. He was more making shots due to being out of line but was making a lot of decent shots. But for sure got some rolls.my two favorite Filipino champs!👍🏽
