Scott Frost knows his stuff. I literally watch these matches to listen to Scott’s commentary and learn One Pocket. Sure, the players and matches are great, but it’s Scott’s commentary that keeps me coming back for more.

Scott is the natural, not to mention that with 1-pocket he's the best commentator hands down. Fantastic match too, so nice to see more of Efren's play.

I've never played a game of one pocket but I've watched hundreds of hours of it and my home commentary of this was wow for so many shots. Especially the case game.

This is the very first One Pocket game I've ever watched. But as a Brit who's watched Snooker for years I can definitely appreciate the safety play element of this game.

You normally only see a match this good in a snooker competition. Good on everyone involved in this one. This was grueling, I am 73 and just watching this wore me out. I feel for Bata, what an effort.

Can't wait to hear Scott at Mosconi. Will be so nice e to have that American bias in the booth

the results weren't exactly mapped out ... but had he missed the lone ball by the headstring I think it would've gone 3 rails back down by the pocket he did the pocket-ectomy on ...

I would pay to see Efren and Nick to play

Efren = GOAT. Also, excellent commentary, especially given that there was only one view of the table presented.

What a fantastic match! Kudos to Gerson Martinez (Any relation to Rafael Martinez??) for some amazing stuff, giving the GOAT everything he could handle. Game 5 featured some of the finest safety play you could ever imagine in the early part of the game. I normally FF through a lot of the up-table games, but I watched every second of this heavyweight bout. Thanks also to Scott Frost for great analysis and commentary.

i missed it the first view. not a big deal if there's no loss of turn for object ball fouls. ball hardly moved. if he did that against me in the 9 ball tournament i play he'd give up ball in hand.

i looked up the rules and apparently it's not a foul because the ball he touched didn't come into play in the shot he was playing, but if it happened 1 more time i don't know if that's clear or not

Does anyone have Efren Reyes' schedule for the rest of 2023 or any upcoming events with him in 2024?

Another one of life's great ironies, by the time we master a skill our bodies and or minds fail us .

This game is quite confusing Efren shoot the ball but his ball count becomes zero Efren shoot the ball but Gerson got the ball count I'm so confused maybe because I don't know how this game works

In one pocket players owe balls due to fouls. If they make a ball and their score remain the same probably is because they owed a ball. In regards of your other point maybe Efren made a ball but in his opponent’s pocket that’s why his opponent’s score went up and not his.

I get what you are saying, and we all want more money in pool. However, Reyes has some big wins $500,000 IPT World 8-Ball $200,000 IPT King of the Hill $163,000 Tokyo 9-Ball Open $100,000 Earl Strickland "Color of Money" race to 120 $60,000 World Pool Championship and I'm sure there are many others. Plus all the money matches he has won (many). Plus that money goes a lot farther in the Philippines than it does in more western countries.

One player gets one of the bottom pockets (below the rack), the other player gets the other pocket. The first player to make 8 balls in their pocket wins the game. Balls made in other pockets don't count for anything. Easy :)
