Effexor for Anxiety-2 Month Update (Side Effects, Success Story)

My take on Effexor XR for Anxiety relief. There is a lot of info in this video (see time stamps below) because I was basically just ranting lol, but there is helpful information all throughout. Please leave a comment if you have other questions about my experience with Effexor I'd love to answer any questions! Might make another video.
I made this video for people who are starting Effexor and are curious about other users' experiences. I wanted to make this because when I began treatment with Effexor I couldn't find many user-based video, so I think it could help.

Good question. I will say that i have been a shaky-hand person for as long as i can remember. At least back to middle school. I think it runs in the family. That being said, I think Effexor may have made me a bit more shaky, particularly in the morning (only with my hands). But i’ve never really thought about it before reading this comment. Also, I hear a lot of people say Effexor gives them the jitters, which is usually the rationale for taking it in the morning. Personally Effexor has never made me feel amped up or jittery or more energetic in any capacity.

One of the best way to start taking it like with any anti depressant in my opinion. Is with some sort of medication for anxiety. Because snri s take a while to work and when you start one of the main common side effects is anxiety, if you already have anxiety it will boost it up. I hate doctors who don't give their patients some anxiety medication when prescribe these medications. We need to stop supporting those doctors who don't give anxiety meds when starting an anti depressant

Few shakes here and there. Hasn't really helped with the Executive Function issues or being able to plan etc. But I don't think the GAD is the cause of this. Seeking treatment for ADHD but Psychiatrist said needed to get this sorted first. Don't feel quite so much time sickness is something I have noticed in this short time.

Haven't been able to sleep through the night and it's very hard to go to the bathroom. Now im on 150mg but i need to upper the dose with 37.5mg extra. I think because my breakup months ago. She left me bc i was depressive and ''can't handle'' me. She did not say that but now after 5 months after the breakup i know that was the reason. it was more easy to pick another guy than support and help me. Having sex was more dificult but i forced myself. My libido was almost zero and after a week she becomes almost crazy from me. 😂 I dont want to think about her anymore but its so difficult. 3years together and then we broke up and 2 months later she got already another one. And me...i stay single since the breakup. I need more attention for myself.

i am taking it for anxiety and depersonalization is a huge symptom for me. a week into taking this med, my depersonalization has improved immensely. i still am very anxious and i just increased my dose so i’m nowhere near doing well, but the depersonalization was really bothering me and it has lessened a bunch.

People say that it’s so scary. They are probably talking about the withdrawals from quitting, especially if you mess up and try to quit cold turkey. That’s just not the way to do it. But i’m doing good! I’ve been taking 225mg for a few months now and my side effects are gone!
