It's like a clown show where the clowns are incompetent, but they're entertainingly incompetent. You want to pity them, but it's still funny, and the clowns know that their failure is what's funny, but they're still happy to make people laugh. Er, for the boxers, not any of EFAP or the EFAP guests

as a hardcore boxing fan, heres my explainers for the boogie vs wings fight about some of the details specific to boxing the only pre fight argument for boogie is that in terms of anticipation, youd rather be the guy who cares less, not being careless, but being less anxious than your opponent can be useful, having more pressure is just more nervous energy you could waste that would be better spent in the fight itself, if youre nervous and anxious to go you might just spaz out and be gassed against someone who has just been on the move, not the i expect boogie to use his footwork to glide around the ring and make wings miss lol 54:15 - A standing 8 count, essentially this is a knockdown when the fighter didnt actually go down, usually youll get a standing 8 counts if you get hit and you would've gone down if not for the ropes or corner keeping you up. reason for 8 count and not a 10 is that usually you're expected to be up in 8 seconds, then 2 seconds to get your hands up and signal to the ref you're good. 55:20 - the commentator saying saved by the shorts is a strategy is super legit, muhammad ali once had his gloves cut in between rounds after getting dropped by Henry Cooper to buy him more time in the corner to get his senses back before going on to win, gear malfunctions can have unforseen impacts on a fight, more tired guy gets energy back, adrenaline levels change, all sorts of stuff, last time i competed in between rounds i saw my opponent had really bad swelling on the eye and i had a big adrenaline dump just knowing they were gonna call the fight off, sure enough I was right, but if they didnt, I probably wouldn't have competed as well as i could have 56:00 - this is the first time ive seen it in modern boxing but i feel like i have seen a clip somewhere from the 1920s or so where it looked like a guys shorts were just taped up, but more for the opposite reason than boogie and I can't recall which fight it was 56:40 - the ref is allowed to outright call a fight and declare a tko if you turn your back like that even if the other guy doesnt hit you 57:40 - boogie having his right foot forward is largely making him easier to hit, if you have the opposite stance to your opponent you can be more awkward to hit if you know how to box, but if you dont you just end up being more open to your opponents power shots, boogie also over reacting to the first shots just opens up the combinations, and while wings doesnt have much technique, he is throwing himself into shots so some power will get through, and hes doing a decent job coming over the top with the left hook after boogie reacts to the right hand 59:40 - this idea is basically snapping your punches rather than pushing them, wings isnt exactly snappy but he is creating torque when he throws and following through, whereas boogie barely looks like he is trying to get to the target, let alone push through and land a punch, even if it were more of a push 1:00:15 - boogie did have his hands up in time, i assume the ref just saw something in boogies face after he had taken those shots and thought boogie has had enough, plus boogie turned his back again, maybe a bit early but good referring, boogie didn't need to take extra punishment just because he could've. watched on and drinker nailed it I'm glad they all came around to the ref doing a good job because he really did and its nice to see in a sport where refs can be terrible idk who needs this breakdown but there ya go

As a runner when adrenaline hits I'm literally no longer in control of my body. I've been screaming in my head to slow down or stop while my body is running away at a 5 minute mile pace. Just have to wait the 20-30 seconds for it to burn out. But that time when you know what's happening, use it, lean into the frenzy berserker energy. As opposed to a runners high, runner's high is like adrenaline times 10x, it's actually scary, the 2 or 3 times It's happened I stopped because I was afraid of injury. When you feel all pain and exertion just disappear and feel it replaced with nothing but GO, it feels too good to be true to me.

A fat man can very easily build up above average strength from just a little bit of effort. It's not really going to show underneath the fat until he diets, but the strength can get there pretty easily. A few weeks of consistent effort is all it takes. I think Wings could make a real redemption arc (No Pun Intended). He put in so much effort into a short time for this fight so a long term weight loss/training program for himself for another fight (I assume he will want to do it again for the cash) it would be worthwhile. If he does it just for the fact he wants to be healthier so much the better. It shows that if you're determined enough you can make a difference to yourself. I know this was about the money for Wings but in reality he made the efforts before he even got to the ring. He wasn't going in unprepared. Boogie didn't care OR He didn't realise how serious Wings was going to take it and that was his downfall (Apart from the shorts obviously)

How kind of Boogie to provide the punching bag for tonight's entertainment. This was unironically more interesting then the Mando finale. I expected Boogie to get at least one punch in, but Wings completely dominated. It was clear from the first punch that Boogie was outclassed, and then his shorts betrayed him. I hope that Wings is motivated to keep improving if even just for himself because hearing him say that he lost 30 pounds is legitimately inspiring. I also hope that Boogie gets a fire lit under him after that loss, and ups his training because I'd like to see the rematch.

Wings deserved the win just for the fact he really made the effort. He lost 36 Pounds and made the real effort necessary to get into the ring even in the short amount of time they had. Wings took it far more seriously than Boogie did. When I saw Boogie hitting Pizza Boxes I knew he wasn't taking it seriously at all. I didn't expect Wings to dominate the whole fight so much though. I think it was the 1st set of Punches that landed that won the fight because Wings realised he had Boogie beaten even then. The whole tape thing was a funny but the reality is they should have taped them before he left the Dressing Room area. It turned into a disaster of Epic Proprtions for Boogie and he will never live that down.

And also would explain the shorts. If he put those on before to train, he'd know that they're not holding on. Or if these shorts were completely new, they would've bought them with the exact same measurements. But he never put on any shorts to train, so they didn't know.

Honestly gotta give it to the first guys, they did pretty good for 2 guys whove probably never been in a fight for longer than a minute. Especially the black guy, even when he was exhausted he was doing some nice dodges

Why don’t more KZreadrs settle their differences by fighting in a ring live in front of an audience? It’s the world’s greatest debate where there’s a clear objective winner.

The ref tells them at the beginning of the match "defend yourself at all times." And if a fighter can't/doesn't put his hands up to try and block getting blasted in the head or turns around to curl up in an ass ball, they call it. And Boogie was just eating every punch.

I'm surprised to see this content, pleasantly surprised! Edit: Not as surprised as I am that neither collapsed from a heart attack during or after this. Also, Ref totally made the right call. Boogie would just have gotten hurt for nothing if it continued.

Most people have no idea how to fight or how exhausting it is when you are forced to do it for a prolonged time. Making your opponent throw punches and tire himself out is a legit tactic btw. That's why it always makes me raise my eyebrows when you have fight scenes where people punch each other in the face multiple times in minute long action scenes and still look like they just finished a relaxing shower. Especially when they are female.

Well, in most Hollywood films, you can justify it as adrenaline making them fight longer.
