I'm new to cigars. I just smoked cigarettes when I was in the service and it stuck with me after I got out and I hated the smell on my clothes and fingers. Then went to vaping and we'll looks embarrassing as hell puffing on those things. Then my supervisor introduced me to cigars and now we have humidor in our office and different types of cigars. They smell great! You don't look like an idiot smoking them, and it's a nice calming ritual instead of just lighting it and not paying attention to the craftsmanship and smells and taste. I love them. And I've learned a lot from this channel the past couple of months and it's changed the way I light the cigars it's amazing! So thank you!
I stopped by Davidoff on a recent trip and introduced myself to Eddie S. He was sitting in a chair like the spot in the video, we had a short and friendly chat. Eddie was just the gentleman you see. Best wishes to all for a better 2023

Ok the cigar companies are owned by the government. So if it was a private company the workers are still only paid a wage. Yes it’s government owned it’s sad but in the end it’s not going to stop any of us from buying these beautiful cigars. It’s just life

@@survivalSC You are right but where you work for a company you have a government enforcing a minimum wage (speaking for the UK) that protects you and then your employer sets above that. There are also unions the help to fight for better pay. In Cuba they are only able to accept what they are given and there is no one to protect them. I do agree it will not stop people from buying cigars, myself included, however if you are therefore going to participate in the industry its desirable to at least educate one self to have greater understanding and respect for the product you have.
After watching every one of these videos over the last few years I’ve grown fond of this shop. But I’ve never even set foot in it, or met either of the Sahakians in person. I really enjoy the politeness. Sadly, I have grown used to people speaking over each other too often. Great conversation.
The relationship between Edward and his son is incredibly admirable. I wish I had the pleasure of such a relationship with my father, but I will have to settle for trying to achieve being a father like Edward. Cheers Indeed to Edward, Eddie...and of course you as well, Kirby!
I’m jealous of the amount of hospitality your getting. That’s very special.
When Edward says it’s the Dorian grey and Eddie immediately says I love that dad, is the best moment in this episode.
I was born and raised in Cuba, became a man in Texas and fell in love with cigars in Texas as well. I've only been returned to visit Cuba once since I left and watching your videos sparks the need to visit my motherland incredibly. Cheers gentlemen... enjoy those beautiful cigars.
What I learned from watching this video is not necessarily anything about Cuban cigars, but mainly a reminder of how much more we need to appreciate what we have today,to enjoy what we have today,to value the time that we have today. I was born in 1985 in Cuba and can not tell you how many times I had cigars like this in my hands when grand parents and or neighbors were smoking them. I thought very little of it and never gave much importance to it,only have memories of family gatherings and birthday parties. To imagine I would find this video 25 years later where someone across the world appreciates and value so much an item( for lack of better word) we had taken for granted then. Not even cubans can get their hands anymore on cigars even remotely close to the quality of what's shown in this video today.
It's always so great listen to Kirby Allison and the Sahakians. Learning about cigars and the fine taste surrounding them. An hour is running like nothing and I never get bored. By the way. I like Edward's humor when he tells Kirby at the beginning that his voice is "quiet sexy".
Watching Edward and Eddie interact makes me miss my late father. We too, worked together and enjoyed many good times

I absolutely fangirled with my other half the other day. We were having breakfast at Francos across the road from Davidoff. Said I would have to visit one day to purchase as there was a chance to meet Eddie or indeed Edward. As we walk in Eddie walks through the door just in front of us to deliver some gifts to the shop. Seemed as much of a gentleman then as in any of these videos. And furthered my resolve to visit and purchase in the shop!

I met Edward Sahakian about 6 months ago on my travels through London. What a gentleman.
Eddies suit is great. Everyone is dapper.
31:24-What a shame Kirby interrupted Eddie here. It is not often that we hear about the 'humanity' of the cigar business but I think that shows just how much of a gentleman Eddie is from inside and out. There are a lot of men who masquerade as gentlemen on the outside but not on the inside; Eddie is a gentleman through and through!
I can listen to them for hours.
Some day I want to sit and enjoy an aged scotch and a nice Cuban cigar with Eddie in his lounge, and just let his accent and personality bring an air of sophistication to my otherwise humble life. :)
